Pokemon Sapphire - The painful cost of losing to the Elite Four

It's pretty damn hard training my Pokemon to compete against the Elite Four, and I thought that it'd be a good idea to go through a few dry runs with them, not using items, and just building up my Pokemon in combat so I can fight against them with items. I've gone through once, gotten a bit farther than I thought I would without item usage, and I got my Pokemon leveled a bit more.

Unfortunately, right after I saved the game, I went and checked my trainer card to see how much money I currently had with the two wins under my belt... only to realize that I was DOWN tens of thousands of Poke-dollars. That's right, not only did I lose the painful gauntlet that is the Elite Four, they also took my fucking money.

It's been a long time since I've lost against trainers, the last being Watson of the electric gym for the third badge. I hadn't thought of checking my cash for the losses, just thought about building my Pokemon up and getting them through that old bastard, and I never noticed how much I may have lost by losing against him a few times.

More trainers on the roads are itching for a fight, and since I can now fly back to the Elite Four building in Evergrande City directly, I'll go and battle as many as possible and get my Pokemon hopefully leveled up quickly. At the least, I'll be able to build my funds up to what they were.

I can't wait to beat these assholes, get all the Legendary Pokemon, and move on to Pearl. Sapphire is definitely losing it's charm and I've got several more Pokemon games to get through before it's all over.
