Pokemon SoulSilver - Mahogany Town and the Lake of Rage

The first thing I noticed when I got to Mahogany Town was the Mahogany Gym, and the second thing I noticed was a suspicious "tree" with antennas sticking out the top next to the center building. I checked out the sign, and it claimed to be a Souvenir Shop, "Nothing suspicious about it no need to be alarmed." I went inside and talked to a man near the entrance, who said something about an experiment being a success. He said how Magikarp are worthless, but Gyarados are big moneymakers.

I talked to the man running the shop, and I told him I heard wind blowing into the room, and he claimed it was just him whistling. He asked if I wanted to buy something, but all he had was a Potion, Pokeball, and a Tiny Mushroom. Knowing that this was the only shop in the town, having so little on sale was even more suspicious. I saw a radio in the corner and checked it, and heard something strange. I tuned in with my Pokegear, and heard a very strange, repeating tune playing. I knew these guys must be with Team Rocket, but I couldn't do anything about them yet.

I talked to a few Townspeople, and they mentioned a Red Gyarados rampaging in the nearby Lake of Rage. I realized I remembered hearing about it back in Sinnoh, where Simon and I both saw a show about it. It was what started us together on our journey there, and I felt nostalgic for the grand adventure I had through Sinnoh. I decided that if I had the chance, I would catch the Red Gyarados and bring it to Simon. First though, I would have to make my way through several Trainers, and through it all Seth and Lucas both grew to Level 31.

I got to the Lake of Rage, along the way learning that it was made by rampaging Gyarados ages ago, and it was raining hard. The lake had risen from the rain, and I could see trees that were almost completely submerged. I saw nearby the large Red Gyarados raging, and I Surfed over to it on Blake, ready to fight it with Seth.

The Red Gyarados was strong, and it's Intimidate cut Seth's attack in half. Gyarados used Dragon Rage for great damage, then Seth used Vine Whip for minor damage. I quickly realized that Seth wouldn't be able to do much, and I sent out Edward, who got hit by Bite for great damage. Edward hit Gyarados with Thunder Punch for massive damage, and Gyarados was knocked out. I was disappointed, knowing that was a possibility using Edward, but at least I got a Red Scale for a souvenir.

I got out of the Lake of Rage and came across a man in black with red hair, who had a Dragonite hovering next to him. He told me that the Red Gyarados wasn't acting right, and that the whole reason it acted that way was because something had forced it to evolve. He asked if I came because of the wild tales, which I had, and I introduced myself. The man introduced himself as Lance, and he told me he heard some rumblings and came to investigate. He saw the way I battled, and could tell that I'm a Trainer with great skill. He asked me to help him investigate, and I was more than happy to.

He told me how the Magikarp of the lake were being forced to evolve, and that a mysterious radio broadcast coming from Mahogany is probably the cause. He knew the Souvenir Shop was suspicious, just as I did, then he told me he would be waiting for me in Mahogany Town before he flew off. I flew back to Mahogany Town with Lucas, ready to head into the Souvenir Shop.

Pokemon SoulSilver - The road to Mahogany Town

I started out calling Mom to let her know I was okay, and I was told I had $15,000 saved up so far, then I called Professor Elm and he told me to come back home to show him Togepi. I put Claire in the PC, then brought out Togepi to walk around with me before I flew back to New Bark Town to talk with Elm. Professor Elm was surprised when he saw Togepi, and he told me that as far as he knew there wasn't a Pokemon like it in Johto, as Mr. Pokemon had told him over the phone. Professor Elm told me I was making him excited with this surprise, and gave me a present, an Everstone.

I then flew to Ecruteak City to get back Claire, then I headed east toward Mahogany Town. I went past a cave, surfed through a small pond, and then came across Suicune in a small clearing with a few Apricorn trees. It came running up then ran past me and further east toward Mahogany Town. Eusine was quick to come from the west, admiring Suicune from a distance. He noted that I seemed to be around where Suicune would appear, but told me it was okay because he figured his desire to search for Suicune was far beyond mine. Eusine told me he heard so many myths from his grandpa, about Suicune specifically, and that's what started his desire to find it. He made a promise there that he wouldn't stop following Suicune until he found out what it was after, then he headed east after it.

I grabbed a Pnk Apricorn, Grn Apricorn, and a Ylw Apricorn, before I grabbed a nearby Super Potion and then I surfed further east. I was immediately stopped by a Fisherman after I got back on land, and I sent out Edward against his Qwilfish. Edward used Thunder Punch for massive damage, and knocked it out instantly, though he was poisoned by it's ability. I gave Edward an antidote after I exchanged phone numbers with the Fisherman, then I continued further east.

I came across another Trainer who wanted to fight, and I sent out Edward against his Nidorina. Edward hit it with Thunder Punch for massive damage, and knocked it out instantly. Edward grew to Level 31, and then I sent out Seth against his Nidorino. Seth used Cut for massive damage, then it used Focus Energy to pump up. Seth finished it off with Vine Whip, and then the battle was over. I kept going east and fought against another Trainer, a Hiker named Benjamin. I beat him easily enough and kept going east.

Quickly enough I found myself in Mahogany Town, and I healed my team at the Pokemon Center. I'll explore the town soon enough, as I'm sure there's plenty to experience in a town for ninjas.

Current Team:

Pokemon SoulSilver - Safari Zone

With my sixth Gym Badge in my collection, and just two more ahead of me, I decided to take a short break. I flew around the Johto region, grabbing several Apricorns, then I went to Kurt to get some Pokeballs before giving him several more Apricorns to make more. After that, I flew over to Cianwood City and went west to reach the Safari Zone.

I had to fight through several Trainers to make it there, and Samuel and Blake both grew to Level 31. I admit after Seth and Claire were both knocked out by the Trainers along the path, I found myself getting angry; I was just trying to get to the Safari Zone, free and open to all Trainers, and yet I had to fight my way through these people to get the 'privilege' of catching rate Pokemon.

I got to the Safari Zone Gate, and found a Pokemon Center to heal my team and revive Seth and Claire. I checked out a couple stalls nearby, then I went inside. I met up with Baoba near the entrance, and asked what I thought of the place. He offered me to take the Owner Aptitude Test, and I decided to try it.

Baoba explained how the test worked, telling me I just needed to catch a Geodude at the Safari and show it to him. I went around in the grass near the building for quite a while before I finally found a Geodude (Male, Rock/Ground, Lv. 17), and I tossed it a Bait before it fled. I had to run around a while longer before I found one, and after a few Pokeballs, a single Bait, and a bit of Mud, I finally caught it. I put it in my team and showed it to Baoba, and he was pleased.

Baoba told me I passed the first test, then revealed that there was a second test. He told me I would have to wait a little while for it, because he was working on it. He said he would contact me when the next test was ready to go, so I left to put Geodude back in the PC and wait for the call. I knew whatever this test was, it was going to be interesting.

Current Team:

Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 30)
Edward (Electabuzz, Electric, Lv. 30)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 30)
Blake (Feraligatr, Water, Lv. 31)
Samuel (Monferno, Fire, Lv. 31)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 30)

Pokemon SoulSilver - Olivine Gym

I flew back to Olivine City and went straight for the Lighthouse and up the elevator. I reached the top and gave Jasmine the Secret Potion, and she told me that Amphy wouldn't take anything from anyone but her. She used the Secret Potion on Amphy, and it quickly perked up and felt better. It starting to shimmer, then it glowed bright and lit up the chamber. Jasmine was happy to see Amphy healthy and happy again, and she thanked me before returning to the Olivine Gym.

After I left the Lighthouse, my Pokegear rang. It was Baoba, who told me that the Safari Zone was finally opened. He told me I could find it through the gate inside the cavern in Cianwood City, which I had passed by when I saw Suicune. He asked me to come visit, and I planned on doing so after I got my next Badge.

I decided before fighting Jasmine that I should train my team and make them stronger before we went for the next Badge. I knew that whatever her focus, my team would have a hard time against her Pokemon. With a lot of training on Route 40 and Route 41, my team all grew to Level 30, Blake evolved into Feraligator and learned Crunch in place of Bite, and Edward evolved into Electabuzz. I knew my team was ready for the challenge ahead!

My team consisted of:

Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 30)
Blake (Feraligatr, Water, Lv. 30)
Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 30)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 30)
Edward (Electabuzz, Electric, Lv. 30)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 30)

I went inside and found a relatively simple design, a straight path to the Gym Leader with side paths for Trainers to stand ready for challengers. I was told by the man inside that Jasmine's focus was on Steel-Type Pokemon, and I knew Samuel would be the one to get through this.

I went ahead, and was stopped by an old man near the entrance. He thanked me for helping the Gym Leader, and told me that a Battle was a separate matter. He told me to go for it, and I continued toward Jasmine. I was stopped by another girl, who told me she knew how capable I was from the Lighthouse. She told me to show Jasmine that side of myself, and wished me luck.

I felt pretty good about myself and my team as I talked to Jasmine. She thanked me for my help at the Lighthouse, then she introduced herself properly. She told me that she used the Steel type, and asked if I knew about it. She described their strength and defense against attacks, then the battle started.

Jasmine sent out Magnemite, and I sent out Samuel against it. Samuel used Flame Wheel for massive damage, but Magnemite clung on to counter with Thunder Wave to paralyze Samuel. Jasmine used a Hyper Potion to heal Magnemite, then Samuel used Mach Punch for massive damage. Samuel hit it with Mach Punch again, and it was knocked out, and another Magnemite was sent out.

I kept Samuel in the fight, and Magnemite used Supersonic to confuse Samuel on top of his paralysis, and then he hurt himself in his confusion. Magnemite then struck with Thunderbolt for massive damage, and Samuel hurt himself in his confusion. I gave Samuel a Hyper Potion to heal him fully, then he got hit by Thunderbolt, and it was a critical hit that knocked him out anyway. I sent Claire out against Magnemite, and she used Shadow Ball for great damage, then it countered with Thunderbolt for massive damage. Claire used Destiny Bond to link Magnemite, then it used Thunderbolt to knock her out and was dragged with her.

Finally I sent out Blake, and she sent out Steelix. Blake used Surf for massive damage, but it clung on and used a Sitrus Berry to heal itself a bit, before it countered with Iron Tail for great damage. Blake used Surf again for massive damage, and knocked Steelix out easily.

With Steelix defeated, the battle was over! Jasmine accepted her defeat, knowing that I was a better Trainer than she was. I received the Mineral Badge from Jasmine, which means all Pokemon to Level 70 would obey me, and she also handed over TM23 (Iron Tail) which is a powerful Steel-Type attack which occasionally lowers the target's defense too.

Jasmine wished me luck, and I left proud of my team. I was glad my training had done so well, even if two of them had been knocked out by the Gym Leader. I left the building and received a call from Lyra, who informed me of a Bug-Catching Contest in the National Park. I considered going back and trying my hand at catching a Scyther...

Current Team:

Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 30)
Blake (Feraligatr, Water, Lv. 30)
Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 30)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 30)
Edward (Electabuzz, Electric, Lv. 30)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 30)

Pokemon SoulSilver - Cianwood Gym

I put Lucas to the head of the team, knowing that his Flying-Type attacks would be effective against the Fighting-Type Pokemon this Gym Leader used.

My team consisted of:

Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 26)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 26)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 26)
Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 26)
Blake (Croconaw, Water, Lv. 27)
Edward (Elekid, Electric, Lv. 26)

I went in and saw the Gym Leader resting at the bottom of an artificial waterfall, and he was so focused on his training he didn't even notice me. I knew I would have to turn it off in order to fight him, which meant I would have to go through just about every Trainer there. There were two large areas on either side of the waterfall, with four levels and stairs heading up. I took the stairs up the left side, knowing if I was wrong then I'd just have to go up the right side.

I came across my first Trainer, who sent out Hitmonlee, and I sent Lucas against it. Hitmonlee used Meditate to increase it's attack, then Lucas hit it with Gust for great damage. Hitmonlee used Meditate again to raise it's attack further, then Lucas hit it with Gust again for good damage. Hitmonlee used Meditate to raise it's attack even more, then Lucas hit it with another Gust for good damage but it clung on. Lucas finished it off with Quick Attack before it could use that increased attack, and it was knocked out. The battle was won, and I kept heading up the stairs.

I fought against another Trainer who blocked the path to the stairs leading up to the switch, and I knew I'd have to go through the right side too. I sent out Lucas against his Machop, wishing that he knew more than Gust... Lucas used Gust for massive damage, then Machop used Focus Energy to increase it's critical-hit ratio. Lucas used Gust again for massive damage and knocked out Machop, then Machoke was sent out. Lucas fought the Machoke with Gust attacks, and it tried to lower his defense with Leer before it was knocked out, and Lucas grew to Level 27.

Lucas learned Feather Dance in place of Sand-Attack, and then I went down the path to go up the right side instead. I fought against another Black-Belt, and his Hitmonchan went up against Lucas. Hitmonchan used Mach Punch for great damage, then Lucas used Gust for great damage. Lucas used Gust again for great damage, then it countered with Thunder Punch to knock out Lucas. I switched over to Claire, and she used Shadow Ball to knock it out and win the battle.

I left the Gym to heal my team and revive Lucas, and I pondered teaching him Roost before deciding that he just needed to learn a new Flying-Type attack. When I went back to the Cianwood Gym, I realized that the Trainers all went back to their places, so I went up the left side and turned the winch to raise the chute and stop the waterfall. I went to the bottom and finally talked to the Gym Leader.

The Gym Leader, Chuck, was frustrated with me for turning off the waterfall, telling me that I had just spoiled his training. I felt like telling him that being a lazy asshole sitting there wasn't training, but he was angry enough as it was. I did however tell him that his training had nothing to do with Pokemon, then he realized I was right, and invited me to battle him.

I sent out Lucas, and Chuck sent out Primeape. Primape tightened it's focus, and Lucas used Gust for great damage, then it failed it's Focus Punch. Primeape used Double Team to increase it's evasiveness, but Lucas still managed to land Gust for great damage. Primeape tightened it's focus, and Lucas missed with Feather Dance before Focus Punch landed for massive damage, knocking him out instantly.

I sent Claire out against his Primeape, and she used Shadow Ball for massive damage which knocked it out. Claire grew to Level 27, then Poliwrath was sent out against her. Claire used Shadow Ball for great damage, then it countered with Surf for massive damage. I knew that Claire was done with another hit; I had Claire use Destiny Bond to bind with Poliwrath, then it used Surf to knock her out, and it was knocked into unconsciousness with her!

With my latest victory, I received the Storm Badge, which lets me Fly to any city or town I've visited before! He also handed me TM01 (Focus Punch), a somewhat unreliable Fighting-Type move which fails if the Pokemon using it is hit first, but it was obviously a powerful move if it could hit. Chuck told me that he would train 24 hours a day now after my victory over him, and I wondered if I had done a bad thing by beating him like that...

I left the Cianwood Gym and found the woman from earlier talking to me. She saw the Cianwood Gym Badge I had earned, and gave me HM02 (Fly) to train to Lucas. I found out that she was the wife of the Cianwood Gym Leader, who was happy that he would be training harder now since he had been getting chubby. I was glad that she wasn't mad about his promise of 24-hour training now!

I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team, then I taught Lucas Fly in place of Quick Attack. Finally he had a powerful Flying-Type move, and with it a new ability to travel around the Johto Region. That was two Badges I had earned thanks to Claire and her Destiny Bond, but it was an effective and strategic move even if Claire doesn't like getting knocked out for it to work! I'd have to apologize to her in some way for the amount of times she's achieved victory using that move...

Current Team:

Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 27)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 27)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 26)
Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 26)
Blake (Croconaw, Water, Lv. 27)
Edward (Elekid, Electric, Lv. 26)

Pokemon SoulSilver - Across the ocean to Cianwood City

I went to the western part of the city to the beach, where I received a Sharp Beak from a girl there. I gave the Sharp Beak to Lucas in place of the Silk Scarf, then I hopped on Blake and Surfed south toward Cianwood City. I quickly came across a Swimmer who wanted to fight, and Blake grew to Level 26. I fought against another Swimmer and Edward grew to Level 26.

I went past a couple more Swimmers, then fought against several more, and Lucas and Samuel both grew to Level 26. Finally I made my way to Cianwood City, and I started to explore. Right after I got to the city I found the Photographer's House, with an automatic camera to take my own pictures. I snapped a photo for posterity, then I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team.

I found the Cianwood Pharmacy nearby, and I quickly told the Pharmacist that I needed medicine, and when he saw my healthy Pokemon I needed to explain that it was for the Lighthouse Pokemon. I got the Secret Potion from the Pharmacist, and decided I'd check out more of the city before making the trip back.

I talked to some people in the city, and I met one who told me he was confronted by a boy with piercing eyes and long hair, and that he scared him into giving the boy his prized Pokemon. I knew he must be talking about Aiden, and I wondered what he could be up to this time. He asked if I would look after his other Pokemon, but my party was full and I knew I needed to train my team more for the challenges ahead.

I went north, and spotted the Cianwood Gym. I talked to a woman nearby, and she told me that I could use Fly if I got the Badge from that Gym. She told me to come back to her with the Badge and she would give me something nice. I went further north and found Suicune staring at me, then it ran around me once before staring again, and then it ran off into the ocean.

Immediately after Suicune left, I was confronted by Eusine, who told me he just caught a quick glimpse. He thought he saw Suicune running on the waves, and I told him it had indeed. He told me of it's beauty, how it races through towns and roads at amazing speeds. He told me how he wanted to see Suicune up close, and then decided to battle me to earn Suicune's respect.

I sent out Blake against Eusine's Drowzee, and Blake used Bite for massive damage before it countered with Disable to stop Bite. Blake used Ice Fang next for great damage, and Drowzee was knocked out. Blake grew to Level 27, then I switched over to Seth to fight his Electrode.

Electrode and Seth went at it for a short while, Electrode using Screech to lower Seth's defense, and Seth doing what he could to attack Electrode. Seth became paralyzed thanks to Electrode's Static ability, and he was hit by Thunder for great damage, before countering with Acid for good damage.

I switched over to Samuel, and Eusine sent out Haunter against him. Haunter used Curse to halve it's HP and plant a curse on Samuel, but then Samuel hit it with Flame Wheel for great damage and knocked it out. This was where things went bad, and I realized how important it was to have a Ground-Type Pokemon in my team.

Electrode was the last one, and I kept Samuel in the fight even with Curse having done good damage. Samuel used Mach Punch for good damage, then got paralyzed by the Static Ability, then Electrode countered with Thunder for massive damage, and then Curse knocked Samuel out.

I sent out Claire next, and Electrode used Thunder for massive damage and paralysis, before Claire used the Sitrus Berry to heal herself. Claire was paralyzed and unable to move, then I switched over to Edward to fight it. Edward got hit by Thunder twice for a lot of damage and paralysis, then Edward struck back with Headbutt for good damage. I switched over to Seth, and Electrode used Sonic Boom for good damage. Electrode used Thunder again for great damage, a critical hit that knocked out Seth.

I was getting angry as I sent out Blake, and I felt myself starting to hate Eusine for this bullshit he was putting me through. If he were worthy, then Suicune would take an interest in him, but obviously he's NOT, and I AM. Fuck Eusine and his dreams, they'll never come to fruition! I will catch Suicune just to spite the asshole! Electrode used Thunder for massive damage, and knocked Blake out in a single blow. I had to send out Lucas, and Electrode used Thunder again for massive damage to knock him out instantly too.

I sent out Claire again, and Electrode used Thunder to knock her out too. I gave Edward a Super Potion after I sent him out once more, and he got hit by Rollout for good damage. Electrode missed with Rollout again, then Edward knocked it out with Headbutt and finally the battle was won with most of my team unconscious.

Eusine congratulated me, telling me I was amazing, but after my victory all I felt like doing was having Edward give him a Thunder Punch in the gut. I wanted to tell him to go fuck himself and his dreams, and warn him I would break him next time I saw him... Eusine told me he was starting to understand why Suicune was keeping an eye on me, then told me he would keep searching for Suicune. He told me he had a feeling we'd see each other again before he left, and I certainly wasn't looking forward to it.

After that difficult fight I hopped on my Bike with Edward and rushed to the Pokemon Center to heal my team. With my team healed, I decided I should go ahead and try for the Cianwood Gym. If I could get the ability to fly anywhere, then I could reach Olivine City and the Lighthouse that much quicker.

Current Team:

Blake (Croconaw, Water, Lv. 27)
Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 26)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 26)
Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 26)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 26)
Edward (Elekid, Electric, Lv. 26)

Pokemon SoulSilver - Olivine City

After I healed my team, I talked to some people in the Pokemon Center, and one told me she just finished with her Ball Capsule. She asked if I wanted to battle to see it. I agreed, and I sent out Seth against her Bellossom, who appeared with a bunch of flower petals. Seth used Acid for massive damage, and then Bellossom countered with Mega Drain for minor damage. Seth finished the battle with Cut, and then he grew to Level 25.

I walked around town and came across Cameron the Photographer, and I agreed to another photo. I did some exploring, and came across the home of a Fisherman who had been fishing there for 30 years. He was kind enough to give me a Good Rod, and advised me to check every body of water for Water-Type Pokemon.

I talked to more people and found one who wanted to get a Krabby for his Voltorb, but I had both and didn't want to give up the former when it took a lot of luck finding it on the Pokewalker. Soon enough I found myself at the Olivine Cafe, filled with Sailors eating hearty meals before they went back to their boats docked at the port.

I decided to check out the Glitter Lighthouse, and find out what the Gym Leader, Jasmine, was doing up at the top. I took the elevator up, and found Jasmine in the center of the room with an Ampharos, but the small circular area they were in was locked, and the only way to it was up a ladder. I knew I would need to get through the Lighthouse the long way to talk with her.

I soon came across an old man who wanted to battle, and he sent out Noctowl against Lucas. Lucas used Twister for minor damage, and caused Noctowl to flinch. Lucas used Gust next for minor damage, then Noctowl used Reflect to increase it's defense. I decided to switch to Edward to fight it, and he got hit by Peck for minor damage, but his ability paralyzed Noctowl! Edward hit it with Thunder punch for great damage, then it countered with Confusion for good damage. Edward hit Noctowl with Shock Wave next, and it was knocked out to win the battle.

We exchanged phone numbers, and then I continued onward. I stopped just a few steps away from the old man to answer a call from Mom, who told me about buying another item, and that it was waiting at the nearby Poke' Mart. I soon came across another Sailor who wanted to fight, and I sent out Lucas against his Poliwag. Lucas and the Poliwag traded blows with Gust and Double Slap, before Lucas finished it with Quick Attack and grew to Level 25. I sent out Edward against his Poliwhirl, and Edward used Shock Wave which knocked it out in a single blow to win the battle.

I exchanged phone numbers with the sailor and continued onward up the ladder to the next floor. I got to the top of the ladder and was told by a Bird Keeper that this wasn't a place to mess around, and that I should leave. I responded by sending Edward out to fight her, and she sent out Pidgey against him. Edward used Thunder Punch to knock out Pidgey instantly, and then another was sent out. Edward got hit by Quick Attack for good damage, then hit Pidgey with Thunder Punch to knock it out. Another Pidgey was sent out, and another Thunder Punch knocked it out. Edward grew to Level 25, and learned Light Screen in place of Leer. I sent out Blake against the next Pidgey, and his Ice Fang knocked it out in one blow. Blake grew to Level 25, then I sent out Samuel against the last Pidgey. Samuel used Flame Wheel for massive damage, and knocked out the last Pidgey to grow to Level 25. With the battle won, I was told by the Bird Keeper that she didn't know how to get to the top, telling me the way was blocked.

I fought against another Gentleman, and his pair of Growlithe went down easily against Blake. I fought against a Lass whose Marill went down easily against Seth. I got a call from Irwin after the battle, congratulating me on beating the Ecruteak Gym. He told me he had gone to the entrance to cheer me on, but got scared off by the Mediums that were there. I looked around and found TM87 (Swagger), then realized why the Bird Keeper had issues; the ladders to the next area were in their own big room. I noticed light coming from a doorway to the right, and I went outside to find a Rare Candy and a doorway to the other room.

I fought against another Sailor whose Water-Type Pokemon were beaten quickly by Seth. I grabbed a nearby Ether and fought against a Bird Keeper, and I walked way victorious after a short battle. I made my way up the ladder, then around to fight against another couple Sailors. Seth grew to Level 26, and one of the Sailors told me that Jasmine's Type-Focus changed seemingly overnight. I wondered to myself how common that could be in a Pokemon League as I made my way up the ladder to meet her.

I finally met Jasmine, who told me that the Ampharos always kept the sea lit at night. She told me it suddenly got sick, and was gasping for air. She told me she knew of the Pharmacy in Cianwood, but told me that it was across the sea, and that she couldn't leave "Amphy" unattended. I told her I would surf to Cianwood and get the medicine for her, and she opened the door for me to get to the elevator and back to the bottom.

I healed my team at the Pokemon Center, and got ready to surf a long way for the medicine needed to heal Amphy. I wondered what kind of challenges were ahead as I left the Pokemon Center, and headed for the Poke' Mart to stock up on supplies for the journey.

Current Team:

Blake (Croconaw, Water, Lv. 25)
Edward (Elekid, Electric, Lv. 25)
Seth (Weepinbell, Grass/Poison, Lv. 26)
Samuel (Monferno, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 25)
Claire (Haunter, Ghost/Poison, Lv. 26)
Lucas (Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying, Lv. 25)
