Pokemon Y - Battle in Geosenge Town

I flew to Geosenge Town, and decided to take a quick picture in front of the ultimate weapon before I went to look for Lysandre. Bit morbid, perhaps, but if I had my way this weapon would be destroyed and would never be seen again.

I remembered the one path outside of town that the Flare Grunt went and disappeared a while ago, and I headed that way. I got into a battle with a Flare Grunt who was guarding the path, and through the battle Axel, Brody, and Logan all grew to Level 57, and Brody learned Earthquake in place of Bounce.

I neared the rock pile, and heard Serena calling from behind me. She told me she had gone into Lysandre's lab, and that the masked heroes told her what was going on. They also told her what Team Flare plans to do with the ultimate weapon. She urged me to hurry and stop Lysandre, telling me that the world wasn't corrupt enough to give up on it yet.

I went through a door in the rock pile and down an elevator to find Team Flare's Secret HQ. I saw some members of Team Flare, Grunts and Scientists hanging around as the ultimate weapon charged up. I stepped forward and confronted Lysandre with Serena standing beside me.

He asked me if I found the weapon's beauty captivating, though I didn't respond. He told me that it was drawing its energy from the Legendary Pokemon, and apologized that the weapon was unearthed even after I chose correctly in the lab. Having apologized, he told me that conflicting egos drive this world, and that things don't always go the way you want.

Serena told him that we wouldn't let him use the ultimate weapon. Lysandre told us that resources, space, and energy on this planet are limited, and that the number of people and Pokemon has increased to an unsustainable level. He continued, telling us that whether it's money or energy, the ones who steal are the ones who win.

Serena countered that that doesn't give him the right to destroy everyone but the ones Team Flare chooses. Lysandre turned around to face us, asking if we shared the Mega Ring, and Serena told him that it was different, that we competed for it. Lysandre stated that when there is only one of something, it can't be shared, and that it would be fought over, and when something is fought over then some must survive without it.

Lysandre said that the only way to create a world where people live in beauty, a world without conflict or theft, is to reduce the number of living things. Serena asked him what about Pokemon? He actually cried, and when she asked why he was crying, he said that Pokemon would no longer exist.

Lysandre said that Pokemon are wonderful beings, that humans have worked with them, and we have helped each other flourish. He said because of that, they would inevitably become tools for war and theft. Lysandre was tired of arguing at that point, and was determined to keep me busy while the ultimate weapon got ready.

I got into another battle with Lysandre and he sent out Meinshao while I sent Jack out against it. I had to switch out to Cadence though, and she got hit by High Jump Kick for good damage. Cadence struck with Moonblast after that, and it knocked Meinshao out, and then Jack grew to Level 57.

Gyarados was sent out next, and I sent Axel out against it. Axel attacked with Thunder, and Gyarados was knocked out instantly. Pyroar was sent out next, and I sent Jack out against it. Jack used Surf for massive damage, and Pyroar went down hard.

Honchkrow was the last one Lysandre had, and I sent Axel out against it. Axel missed with Thunder, then Honchkrow used Night Slash for great damage, while taking a bit of damage from his Rocky Helmet. Axel used Thunderbolt next, and it did massive damage to knock out Honchkrow and win the battle.

Lysandre admired my strength, but told me it was too late. He said there was no hope for me now. He told me to go down to the lowest floor and see for myself. Serena told him it wasn't over yet, and told me that we should look for the Legendary Pokemon. She pointed to the entrance to the lower floors, and told me that people protect Pokemon just like they protect people, and she said we had to save it.

I rushed through the doorway and down some stairs to encounter a Flare Admin and a Flare Grunt in a Double Battle. I sent Jack out, and Serena sent out Meowstic, while the two from Team Flare sent out Liepard and Toxicroak. Jack used Smack Down on Liepard for great damage, then Meowstic used Psychic to knock out Toxicroak, then Liepard used Night Slash on Meowstic to knock it out.

Serena sent Chesnaught out next, and Jack used Smack Down on Liepard, a critical hit that knocked it out and ended the battle. Axel and Cadence both grew to Level 58, and Serena and I were able to continue on through the path.

Serena and I encountered another Flare Grunt and Flare Admin who blocked the path, and we got into another battle. They sent out Mightyena and Manectric, while I sent out Jack and Serena sent out Meowstic. Mightyena's Intimidate ability lowered the attack of our team, but I switched Jack with Logan. Manectric used Discharge to do great damage to Mightyena and good damage to both Logan and Meowstic, then Mightyena used Scary Face on Meowstic.

Logan Mega Evolved, and then struck Mightyena down with Energy Ball, and then Manectric used Thunder Fang against Logan for minor damage, while Meowstic was stopped by paralysis it suffered from the previous Discharge attack. Logan struck Manectric with Sludge Bomb for massive damage, which knocked it out and won the battle. Both Jack and Gabriel grew to Level 58, and then Serena and I continued on.

We heard someone calling for us, and it turned out to be Shauna who followed us down. Serena wondered what she was doing there, and Shauna apologized, telling us she knew she'd just slow us down, but said that friends should stick together. Serena said that she was the one who should apologize, saying she wasn't considerate of Serena's feelings, and that friends should indeed stick together.

I agreed that we should all stick together, and Serena told Shauna to stick by us by let us lead. We continued on and got into yet ANOTHER Double Battle with a Flare Admin and a Flare Grunt. Serena and I battled with these clowns, and through the battle Logan grew to Level 58. I went ahead and healed my team before I continued on, determined to get through and find the Legendary Pokemon to stop this insane plan.

We eventually got to a large door with an electronic lock, and when Serena wondered what we should do Shauna told us of the device she had to help with puzzles. Clemont gave it to her, and she pointed out how an electronic lock and a puzzle could be the same sort of thing. With a bit of work, the door was opened. Unfortunately for Shauna the device broke, but at least it did something good with it's last use.

I stepped forward into the room, where I saw a shape resting on some odd device. Serena commented on how difficult it was to breathe down there in the lowest part of the headquarters, and Shauna asked if that shape was the Legendary Pokemon.

Suddenly there was a small army of Flare Admin, who told us that the weapon took 99% of that Legendary Pokemon's energy, but just to be sure they would take us out. Shauna ran off, and a Flare Admin chased after her. Serena left to protect Shauna, leaving me against 4 Flare Admin after one went ahead to chase after Serena.

I fought one after the other, and through the battles Brody grew to Level 58, and after I got through all of them they ran off to get Lysandre and bring reinforcements. I stepped forward toward the machine, and I saw the dark shape moving about, energy circling around it. It glowed brightly, and revealed itself to be a large, powerful-looking Pokemon.

The machine was damaged as it broke free and came close, wanting to battle. I sent Jack out against the Legendary Pokemon, Yveltal (Dark/Flying, Lv. 50). Jack used Surf for great damage, and it countered with Snarl for good damage against Jack. Jack used Smack Down next for great damage, tehn Yveltal used Disable to stop Jack from using Smack Down.

Jack used Thief next for good damage, and left Yveltal in the red before it countered with Dark Pulse for good damage. It was at this point I decided to toss an Ultra Ball, and I managed to catch it with just that one!

I decided to put Yveltal in my team in place of Gabriel, and Serena and Shauna came by after that. Serena was relieved that they couldn't use the ultimate weapon, and Shauna said I was amazing for making a Legendary Pokemon like that my friend.

We heard a voice from nearby, amazed that I had caught Yveltal, and it turned out to be Lysandre in some odd gear. He said he expected more from a Pokemon called a legend. He was disgusted that it desired help from people, that it needed help from a human.

Shauna asked Lysandre about his outfit, and asked what he was doing there since I already beat him. He told us that for him, victory was using the ultimate weapon. He said that in order to do so, he would need to reclaim the Legendary Pokemon's power and send it to the weapon once again. He told me he would take back Yveltal and use the weapon. Lysandre said he would use his own Mega Ring and Mega Stone against me.

Lysandre sent out Meinshao, and I sent out Yveltal against it. Yveltal used Oblivion Wing to knock out Meinshao in a single blow. Lysandre sent Pyroar out next, and I sent Jack out against it. Jack used Surf against it, and it did massive damage to knock it out as well.

Jack, Cadence, and Axel all grew to Level 59, and then I sent out Axel against Lysandre's Honchkrow. Honchkrow avoided Thunder, and struck with Night Slash for great damage, while it took some damage from Rocky Helmet in return. Axel used Thunderbolt next, and Honchkrow was knocked out.

Lysandre was down to his last Pokemon, Gyarados, and I kept Axel in the fight. Gyarados' Intimidate ability lowered Axel's attack, but that would do nothing against Axel's powerful special attack stat. Gyarados suddenly Mega Evolved, and Axel struck with Thunderbolt for massive damage before it countered with Earthquake which knocked out Axel.

I sent Cadence out against it, and she struck with Moonblast for massive damage which knocked out Gyarados and won the battle! Logan and Brody both grew to Level 59, and Lysandre was furious over his defeat.

After the battle, Lysandre was furious, but Shauna told him that she thought even if there's only a little bit of something, it's still best to share it. She said how even he managed to use Mega Evolution, because Gyarados shared its power with him. She pointed out how his other Pokemon did so as well.

Serena asked about the ultimate weapon, with the Legendary Pokemon free from it, and told Lysandre that he didn't have to worry about the future all by himself. She told him that everyone should work together to make a better, beautiful world.

Lysandre said that if that were possible, then all wars would have ended long ago. He said he could only see one future, one where selfish, foolish humans think about nothing other than themselves and steal from one another. He said that the original purpose of the device was to bring a Pokemon back to life, but then the ancient king transformed it into this ultimate weapon.

Lysandre continued, telling us that when the Legendary Pokemon awakened, it took back much of its energy that had been sent to the ultimate weapon . He said there wasn't much power left, but that there WAS enough to use it once. He ranted about being like the ultimate weapon, a flower that bloomed to no avail, and said he would show us what its remaining power can do.

We all ran out of there while the weapon charged up, and then it fired up into the stratosphere before the shot landed onto the weapon and destroyed it, sending it down into the earth and destroying the Flare HQ as well. When all was said and done, we stood by the crater with Tierno and Trevor as well as the masked heroes. She was glad that we were safe, and admired the courage and kindness we all showed.

Tierno said that he and Trevor worked together to save the Pokemon connected to the stones on Route 10, though he left battling with Team Flare to Sina and Dexio, the masked heroes. Dexio said that they managed to destroy the machine in Lysandre's lab that was spying on people's Holo Caster transmissions.

Trevor was happy that Team Flare was defeated, and that he could go back to filling his Pokedex, while Shauna said we should go back to Anistar City to start from where we left off. Everyone left, though Serena stayed behind to thank me. She said she respected me as a friend, and said she wanted to beat me in battle as my rival.

Fortunately she didn't want to fight me right then, and left, and the tall man, AZ, came by, looking upon the crater. He told me how the man made an ultimate weapon, and how it required the life force of many Pokemon, and that the Pokemon that was granted eternal life learned this.

AZ said how the resurrected eternal Pokemon left the man's side, which surprised and saddened the man as he had revived it so they could be together. He said that many days passed, but they never met again, and the man became a mere shell of his former self. The man was condemned to wander forever by the light of the weapon.

AZ wondered about the eternal Pokemon, wondering where it was, what he would have to do to meet it. AZ left, and it appeared to me that he had admitted himself to be the old king, wandering the earth looking for his eternal Pokemon.

I went to the nearby Pokemon Center to heal my team and get Gabriel back. I headed back to Anistar City to continue my adventure, free of Team Flare for good.

Pokemon Y - Assault on Lysandre Labs

I flew to Lumiose City, and went looking for that cafe owned by Lysandre. I couldn't resist going into a battle with a Beauty as I searched, and after the battle Cadence grew to Level 54. I obtained a Nugget for my victory, and after that decided to use a Shiny Stone on her to make her evolve into Florges! I also decided to use a Thunder Stone to make Axel evolve into Raichu!

With two of my Pokemon stronger than ever, I found a Pokemon Center to heal Cadence at, and I also bought supplies before I continued my search for the Lysandre Cafe. After a time I finally found it, hidden in it's own little alley way. I talked to one of the people working there, who turned out to be Flare Grunts.

I battled both of the Flare Grunts, and through the battles Gabriel, Logan, and Jack all grew to Level 54. One of the Grunts told me the password for the hidden door located in the cafe, and past the second one was the door I was looking for. I put in the password, and it slid open, then I went inside ready for a fight.

I stepped forward into a large room, and met Lysandre there. He told me that the world would eventually reach the point of no return, and that saving the lives of all would be impossible. He told me only the chosen ones would obtain a ticket to tomorrow, and asked if I wanted a ticket or if I wanted to stop him.

I fought against Lysandre, starting by sending Gabriel out against his Mienfoo. Gabriel went high while Meinfoo used Sword Dance to increase it's attack before Gabriel struck with Fly to knock it out.

Gyarados was sent out next, and I sent Axel out against it. It's intimidate cut Axel's attack, but he struck with Thunder to knock it out instantly. Both Axel and Brody grew to Level 54, and then Lysandre sent out Pyroar, while I sent Jack out against it. Jack struck with Surf for massive damage, and Pyroar went down hard.

Lysandre was down to his last Pokemon, Murkrow, and I sent Cadence out against it. Cadence struck with Moonblast, and Murkrow was knocked out, earning me victory against Lysandre.

After the battle Lysandre laughed, telling me that my convictions pleased him, and he knew that I was there to stop him. He asked me to wait, telling me he tried to save people and the world with the profit from the lab we were in, and he claimed that his efforts had no effect. He continued, telling me that the world was too vast and too full of fools to be saved by his work alone.

Lysandre told me that he decided the only way to save the world was to take it all for himself. He said he didn't expect to ever make me understand how he thinks and feels, and I admit that I couldn't. I didn't even understand what threat he thought the world was under that he felt the best solution was to end all human life.

Lysandre told me that I could try to stop the ultimate weapon, but to do so I would have to explore his lab, and battle everyone I'd meet. He told me the keys to the elevator going to the weapon were being held by one of the Team Flare Scientists, so I would need to fight to get them.

Lysandre told me that the world was suffering because of the absurd dream to save everything, and he left. I started exploring the lab, trying to find the Flare Scientist with the key. I went west and got into a battle with a Flare Grunt, then I went onto a warp tile before I spotted one of the Scientists.

This Flare Scientist was one I met at the Kalos Power Plant, and we battled. Gabriel took out her Mightyena, and Cadence took out her Druddigon, and after the battle she moved aside to allow me access to two different warp tiles.

I took the green warp tile, and went north to get into another battle with another Flare Grunt. Through the battle, Gabriel and Cadence both grew to Level 55, and afterwards I healed my team before I went into an office to the north.

In the office I found the two lab assistants, in their disguises, looking for someone. They turned and asked me if I had seen anything, telling me they were looking for a really tall guy. They told me that information they received told them that Team Flare was looking for this tall man, and said that his relationship to Team Flare is still a mystery.

I received some Revives from the pair, and then I left. I went around and got into another battle with a Flare Grunt, and through the battle Logan and Jack both grew to Level 55. I found a room in the west, and there a Grunt gave me TM12 (Taunt) and I grabbed another Revive before I laid in one of the beds to rest up.

I continued through the maze and got into another battle with another Flare Grunt, and through the battle both Axel and Brody grew to Level 55. After the battle I continued through the maze and got into yet another battle with a Flare Grunt. After the battle I stepped forward and found a pair of Scientists.

I got into a battle with one of the Scientists, Celosia, and her two Pokemon went down easily against my team. I couldn't catch a break when the other Scientist, Bryony, wanted to fight right after, and through the battle Cadence, Gabriel, and Axel ALL grew to Level 56.

With the two Scientists defeated, they told me what they knew. According to them, they've been using the electricity they stole from the Power Plant to get everything prepared for activating the ultimate weapon, and that they'd need more than electricity to use it. Bryony told me that they would also need the energy absorbed from Pokemon to power the device, that the stones on Route 10 would steal the energy for them and power the ultimate weapon.

Celosia told me that those stones that line Route 10 are the graves of Pokemon, victims of the ultimate weapon that ended the horrible war 3,000 years prior. She said their lives were the price of peace then, and that Team Flare would also have to sacrifice something precious to use the weapon.

I made my way around the lab after I left the room with the two Scientists, and hopped onto a warp tile before I snagged some Black Glasses. I went north from there and fought another Flare Grunt, and through the battle Brody grew to Level 56. I continued onto another warp tile, and found another office.

In the office I grabbed a Rare Candy before I read a report on a nearby desk. It appeared to be from Lysandre, talking about his journey around Kalos as a young Pokemon Trainer. His notes described how he would help people who had nothing, but after a time they took him for granted and demanded more and more. He believed that there was only so much money and energy the world could produce, and with the populations of people AND Pokemon increasing in these peaceful times he thought it was only a matter of time until everything was lost.

I left the office and made my way around, then went onto a warp tile and snagged a Hyper Potion before I continued along. I got into another battle with a Flare Grunt, and through the battle Jack and Logan both grew to Level 56.

I went onto a nearby warp tile, and got into yet another battle. After the battle I continued along into another office, where I found another Scientist, one I met in Frost Cavern. After a little bit of conversation, we battled. Her Pokemon were no match for mine, and she was easily defeated. After the battle, the Scientist, Mable, handed over the Elevator Key.

I left the office and made my way to the elevator, and I went down to the next level. I went down a few flights of stairs, and found Lysandre standing before a jail cell holding some giant man. He appeared to talk to me, and I turned to look at him.

The man told me a story from long ago about a man and his Pokemon. He said that the man's beloved Pokemon took part in the war that had begun, and after several years he was given a tiny box which held his Pokemon, fallen in battle. He wanted to bring it back no matter what, and built a machine to give it life, which he used to bring his beloved Pokemon back to life.

The story continued that the man had suffered too much, and that even after that his rage hadn't subsided. He couldn't forgive the world that had hurt his Pokemon, and he turned the machine into the ultimate weapon. It was his act of destruction that ended the war, and said that the Pokemon he revived knew that the lives of many Pokemon were taken to restore it's own life, and so it left the man.

The giant man told me to get the key back, saying that the weapon should not be used or everything would vanish again. Lysandre told me that this man was AZ, and that he had the same name as the king that lived 3,000 years ago. Lysandre continued, saying that for some unknown reason this man, AZ, had the key to the ultimate weapon hung around his neck.

Lysandre told me to follow him, and I went to the elevator to go further down. I went forward into an office and found him talking with another Scientist. The scientist told Lysandre that preparations were completed, and that they just had to put the plan into motion.

I stepped forward, and Lysandre pointed out the two large buttons on either side of the room. He told me that one push of a button could activate the ultimate weapon from that room, and he told me he believed I had the potential to change the future. He told me that whether the weapon is used or left underground was entirely upon me, and I was left to confront the Scientist, Xerosic.

The battle was short, and through ti Cadence and Gabriel both grew to Level 57, while Axel got knocked out. Xerosic complimented me on my skill and bravery, then told me that one of the two buttons behind him would activate the ultimate weapon.

I healed Axel, and then I decided to press the blue button on the left. He congratulated me on pressing the right button, but then told me he would still activate the ultimate weapon. He said that while his boss promised that they wouldn't if I pushed the correct button, he himself refused to let the potential go to waste.

The ultimate weapon was activated, and we could watch on a nearby monitor as the rocks in the middle of Geosenge Town lowered, and the ultimate weapon broke through the surface and floated in the air, opening up and glowing brightly as it readied to fire. It slammed onto the ground after opening like a flower, and it went into some kind of standby mode.

Xerosic was quite pleased with himself, telling me how all but Team Flare would perish from the use of this poisonous flower. With the weapon ready to be used, I had little choice but to leave the labs and get ready to head to Geosenge Town.

Current Team:

Axel (Raichu, Electric, Lv. 56)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 56)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 56)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 56)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 57)
Cadence (Florges, Fairy, Lv. 57)

Pokemon Y - Anistar City and the Anistar Gym

Dendemille Town was green once more, the snow having melted after Team Flare's plans were stopped. The air was still cold though, every breath a fog as I made my way to Route 17 to ride a Mamoswine through the thick snow to reach Anistar City. I reached the end of the path, and received a Holo Clip from Serena. She challenged me to a battle in front of the Anistar Gym, and after that I made my way to Anistar City.

As I made my way to the city, I heard someone calling for me, and it turned out to be Sina. She told me that there was a person in Anistar City who knows about the Legendary Pokemon, and then she gave me Repeat Balls.

I headed to the Pokemon Center and received TM77 (Psych Up) and also found Mr. Bonding who gave me Exp Point Power Lv 1, which increases Exp Points gained from a battle. I explored the city and also received TM10 (Hidden Power) and bought some black cargo shorts from the Anistar Botique.

I found the old man that Sina told me about, and he knew I came to ask about the Lgendary Pokemon of the Kalos region, Yveltal. He said it happened 800 years ago, that Yveltal spread it's ominous wings, engulfing the Kalos region in darkness. He told me that at that moment, both people and Pokemon throughout the land began to fall one by one.

The old man continued, telling me that Yveltal let out a piercing cry and took to the sky to an unknown location. He told me that stories say that when Yveltal neards the end of its thousand-year life span, it absorbs the life force of living things around it in order to charge itself with energy.

He told me that another tale talks about the appearance of this Pokemon, a tale about the war 3,000 years prior. The story said that a terrible Pokemon came from nowhere and drained the life force of countless living beings. He wondered if maybe they were just using a Legendary Pokemon as ametaphor for war and pestilence.

The old man finished, telling me that it's said that after Yveltal finished storing the energy it had absorbed, that it transformed into a kind of cocoon and remains hiding deep in the mountains. The old man told me that everything he told me was from old stories, thinking only of them as tales.

I continued exploring the city, and I found that all the roofs were made of solar panels, meaning each of the houses were running off of renewable energy. I continued exploring, and found the major tourist attraction, a massive crystal sundial that modern science couldn't replicate. I took a photo there in front of the crystal sundial, and after that I left to head to the Anistar Gym.

I got to the Anistar Gym, and was immediately stopped by Serena who demanded a battle. I sent Cadence out against her Meowstic, and Mewostic did minor damage with Fake Out and stopped Cadence's attack. Next, it struck with Shadow Ball for good damage before Cadence countered with Dazzling Gleam for great damage. Meowstic used Shadow Ball once more for good damage, then Cadence countered with Moonblast for massive damage. Meowstic used Shadow Ball once more for good damage, then Cadence attacked with Dazzling Gleam once more to knock it out.

Vaporeon was sent out next, and I sent Axel out against it. Vaporeon used Quick Attack for minor damage and was hurt by Rocky Helmet, then Axel did massive damage with Thunder. Axel used Thunderbolt next, and Vaporeon was knocked out.

Serena sent out Chesnaught, and I sent Gabriel out against it. Gabriel attacked with Acrobatics, and it knocked Chesnaught out in a single blow. I sent Brody out next against Serena's next Pokemon, Absol, and Brody went underground to avoid Night Slash. After that, Brody struck with Dig for great damage, before Absol countered with Slash for good damage. Brody used Strength next, and it did great damage to knock out Absol.

Logan grew to Level 53, and with Absol down Serena was out of Pokemon. I won the battle, and Serena wondered why she couldn't bring out the best in her Pokemon. Serena lamented how I was always one step ahead of her, but she healed my team for me. Serena encouraged me to take on the Anistar Gym, and she left.

- - -

My team consisted of:

Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 52)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 52)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 52)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 52)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 52)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 53)

I went inside the Anistar Gym, and was warned of the powerful Psychic-Type Pokemon and the unusual maze I would need to go through to take on the Gym Leader. I stepped forward and the walls around me exploded, revealing an odd spherical space around me. The maze was one giant sphere, and I had to move around the place to reach the center of it.

I went onto a path of blue, and soon got into a battle with a Trainer, where Cadence, Brody, and Gabriel ALL grew to Level 53. I had to heal Cadence afterward, then I put Jack at the lead before I continued onward. I found a yellow panel and was teleported to a green pathway.

I continued on to another yellow panel and was teleported to another blue path, then I went through to find another yellow panel which teleported me to another green panel. I kept going and was teleported again, and after some time I got into another battle with a Trainer. Jack got knocked out, but Axel was able to finish the job, and he grew to Level 53.

I healed Jack, and then continued along until I found myself on a pink pathway. I continued on and got into another battle, where Jack grew to Level 53. I continued on and was teleported to a green path, and got into another battle with yet another Trainer. I kept moving and got onto a pink path once more.

Finally, I was at the center of the maze. The Gym Leader, Olympia, said little, electing to simply go right into battle. The first Pokemon she sent out was Sigilyph, and I sent Cadence out against it. Cadence attacked with Moonblast for great damage, then it used Light Screen to increase it's special defense. Cadence struck with Moonblast again for great damage, then Sigilyph countered with Psychic for good damage.

Cadence attacked with Dazzling Gleam next for good damage, but Sigilyph clung on to attack with Psychic again for good damage. Olympia used a Hyper Potion and restored Sigilyph's health, then Cadence struck with Moon Blast again.

I switched to Jack, and Sigilyph's Psychic attack did nothing to him. Jack used Thief for massive damage, and Sigilyph was knocked out. Slowking was sent out next, and I kept Jack out in the fight. Jack used Thief for massive damage, and it barely clung on to use Yawn. Olympia used a Hyper Potion again to heal Slowking, then Jack struck with Thief for massive damage once more before he fell asleep.

I used an Awakening to cure Jack of sleep, and Slowking struck with Power Gem for good damage. Jack used Smack Down to knock out Slowking, leaving just Meowstic left. I kept Jack in the fight, and Meowstic used Fake Out to stop Jack from attacking, but in the next turn Jack struck with Thief for massive damage, before Meowstic used Calm Mind to raise it's special attack and special defense.

The raised special defense did nothing to stop Jack from knocking it out with Thief, and so the battle was won!

I received the Psychic Badge, which would make Pokemon up to Level 90 obey my commands. Olympia also handed over TM04 (Calm Mind) which increases special attack and special defense. After that, Olympia teleported me to the entrance once more, and I left the Anistar Gym one step closer to becoming Champion of the Kalos Region.

When I left the gym, I heard someone around who had confidence in my ability to get the Psychic Badge. I saw it was Serena, and she thought about challenging me to a daily battle when we were finally done with our trip. She seemed eager to get into another battle, but before we could start, we both got a Holo Clip.

It was Lysandre, in a message to all Pokemon Trainers. He revealed that he was the leader of Team Flare, and said that they would revive the ultimate weapon, eliminate everyone who isn't in their group, and return the world to a "beautiful, natural state." Lysandre claimed that unproductive fools are consuming our future, and that if nothing changes that the world would become ugly and conflicts would raze the land from end to end.

He apologized to all who were not part of Team Flare, but said this was goodbye. The Holo Clip ended, and I realized that this guy could be almost as dangerous as Cyrus from Team Galactic, who wanted to remake the universe.

Serena was greatly disturbed, and suggested that we find Team Flare's headquarters. She wondered where Lysandre could be, then thought he could be in Lumiose City, where we first found him. I had little doubt he would be in his labs, and I knew I would have to stop his madness.

Current Team:

Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 53)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 53)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 53)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 53)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 53)

Pokemon Y - Frost Cavern

I headed north onto the path leading to Frost Cavern, and I quickly got into a battle with a Hiker. The battle ended quickly, and Brody grew to Level 50. I continued along the path, and found a Trainer with a Mamoswine, who was reacting to something going on at Frost Cavern.

The Trainer asked if I was on my way to Frost Cavern, and he told me that the Mamoswine usually love giving rides on Route 17, but that lately it's been too worried about something in the Frost Caverns to give rides. Trevor had come up from the town, and told me that Mamoswine is a Pokemon that loves cold climates. The Trainer warned us to be careful in Frost Cavern, and I continued along.

I continued along the path, and battled against an Artist, though his Smeagle didn't last more than one turn before I was victorious. I went on ahead, but found a photo spot which I took advantage of, and I got a nice photo of myself in front of the mountains.

I went into the cavern, and quickly got into a battle with an Ace Trainer wandering around by the entrance. Cadence got knocked out in a single blow by the Ace Trainer's Doublade, but I sent Gabriel out against it, and revived Cadence. A short time later I emerged victorious, and Cadence grew to Level 50 before I continued through the cavern.

I continued along, sliding across some ice, and got into another battle. Through the battle, Logan grew to Level 51, and I went up some stairs nearby. I found some ice and slid around for a bit, before I got into a battle with a Hiker. Through the battle both Jack and Gabriel grew to Level 51, and then I continued along.

I snagged a nearby Ice Heal, then I slid along and encountered another Trainer. By the end of the battle Axel, Cadence, AND Brody all grew to Level 51. I continued along, and battled another Trainer, and afterwords healed my team. I slid around once more along some ice, and then went down some stairs

I quickly got into another battle, and by the end of it Logan grew to Level 52. I talked to a nearby Ace Trainer, and she was kind enough to heal my team before I moved on. I snagged a nearby Hyper Potion and accidentally slid down to the entrance area, and I was forced to make my way back to where I was. Along the way I got into a Double Battle, and through it Gabriel was knocked out.

I revived Gabriel and healed my team, and continued along to reach that area once more. I went up the stairs near the Hiker and then continued along more stairs. Soon I found a trio of Team Flare grunts in the cave.

Trevor came up from behind, and we found the Team Flare grunts standing before an Abomasnow, the leader talking about how their treatment of it was causing it's ability to bring snow to the area. They wished to capture it, but I wasn't about to let that happen.

Trevor and I ran up to the trio to confront them, and Trevor asked what they were doing. The leader told us that they stole those Poke' Balls to catch powerful Pokemon like the Abomasnow, telling us that it was filled with potential energy. Their blue-haired leader said that whomever has the most Pokemon and the most energy would come out on top, and that lazy people didn't get to have these resources.

Trevor asked why Team Flare was amassing Pokemon, energy, and money, and she stated that it was so that Team Flare, ONLY Team Flare, could survive. They talked about only saving themselves, and I found myself wondering what they thought they'd be surviving?

We both went into battle with the Flare Grunts, though it was only a short battle where Gabriel, Axel, Jack, and Brody all grew to Level 52. After I was done dealing with the Flare Grunt, I stepped forward to battle with the leader of their little trio.

The blue-haired girl, Marble, sent out Houndoom while I sent out Cadence against it. Cadence attacked with Dazzling Gleam for great damage, then it countered with Embargo to prevent item usage. Cadence struck with Moonblast next for great damage, before Houndoom countered with Fire Fang for good damage. Cadence attacked once more with Dazzling Gleam and knocked Houndoom out, growing to Level 52 as the battle was ended.

When they were defeated, the trio left. Trevor asked if battling against Team Flare scared me, but they weren't the worst of the groups I had fought thus far. Trevor told me he was scared, and doesn't like battling them, but he was glad that we managed to protect Abomasnow. Trevor was glad he was able to be bold when he needed to be, and that we had managed to help the Pokemon in the area.

I received an Abomasite from the Abomasnow, and I started heading out, getting into one more battle before I could leave. I headed back to town after the Ace Trainer healed my team once more, and I decided to call it a night.

Pokemon Y - Dendemille Town

I found Mr. Bonding in the Pokemon Center, and he gave me Accuracy Power Lv. 1 to increase accuracy in battles. While I was in the Pokemon Center, I bought plenty of supplies for the road ahead.

I left the Pokemon Center to explore the town, and as I made my way through the streets I encountered Professor Sycamore and his assistant. He told me about his own adventures as a child as he made his way through the region and how he met so many different Pokemon. He told me that he grew to enjoy the various cuisines found in the various towns, and so he became an expert on the cafes all over Kalos.

Dexio urged Professor Sycamore to get to the point, and Sycamore reminded me of what Lysandre mentioned in the cafe in Lumiose City. He told me that the Legendary Pokemon of Kalos was called Yveltal, and he told me that according to his research, those who saw this Pokemon were so overwhelmed by it's power could only describe it as resembling the letter 'Y'.

Sycamore continued, telling me that this Pokemon absorbs energy, and that it's lifespan is 1,000 years. He told me that when it reaches the end of its life, it steals all of the spirits around it. He said that when it loses all of its vitality, it goes to sleep in a secret place, and that he had no idea where it could be. The writings that Sycamore was going off of were a thousand years old, so they weren't of much use in locating the Pokemon.

The pair left, and suddenly Trevor was there, hoping to have Sycamore look at his Pokedex. He told me he would be heading off to look for Pokemon in the Frost Cavern, and after that I left to explore the town.

I noticed the snow coming down, and how cold the town was, so I headed back to the Pokemon Center to put on a coat before I made my way through the town. I snagged a Big Root in some farmland before I found a house occupied by the Move Deleter and a woman named Madam Reminder.

I left the house, and found another home to the north. There wasn't much to do there, though a man living there told me if I found 70 Pokemon in the Mountain Region that he would give me something special.

I made my way to another home, but there was little to do there, so I left to continue exploring. I found another house, and the boy living there gave me TM42 (Facade) which does double damage against a Pokemon suffering from a status effect.

I looked at the windmill to the north for a time before I decided to call it a day. To the north was the Frost Cavern, and I knew I would have to explore it later.

Current Team:

Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 49)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 49)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 50)

Pokemon Y - The Road to Dendemille Town

After taking a break from my adventure for a while, I was ready to continue on through Kalos to get my last couple badges and become Champion of the Kalos Region. That first entailed pumping Logan up with new moves when I sent him to Hoenn, where he learned Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball, and Giga Drain, with only Cut remaining among his old moves.

I headed east on Route 15, or Brun Way, to reach the next town. There were leaves strewn all about along the road, and I soon found a Revive in a pile of leaves before I got into a battle with a Pokemon Ranger. Logan grew to Level 48, then I roamed through the tall grass to find a Klefki (Steel/Fairy, Female, Lv. 36) before I continued on.

I got into another battle against a Hex Maniac, and after a short battle Brody grew to Level 48. I kept heading east, where I got into another battle with another Pokemon Ranger, and through the battle Axel grew to Level 48. I kept going along the path and got into yet another battle with a Pokemon Ranger, and at the end of the battle Jack grew to Level 48.

I got into a Double Battle right by some old ruins, and Gabriel and Logan both grew to Level 49 through the battle. I found nothing interesting in the ruins, and so I continued across a bridge, where I got a Holo Clip from Lysandre. He told me that according to Professor Sycamore's research, Mega Evolution all of a Pokemon's hidden energy at once, and so the Pokemon exhibits a level of power it could not attain ordinarily. Lysandre wondered if all people and Pokemon have such potential, or if perhaps it is hidden in only a chosen few?

I continued along, and got into another battle, and it went quickly enough before I found some ruins. I got into a battle with a Hex Maniac at the entrance, and through it Axel grew to Level 49. I went down into the basement of the ruins, and got into another battle with a Punk Guy. Through the battle Jack and Brody both grew to Level 49, and afterwards I went on to explore more of the winding hallways.

I got into a Double Battle with another couple Punks, and through the battle Cadence grew to Level 49. I had to use an antidote on Cadence before I continued on, and encountered a Punk Guy who wanted me to meet his boss. I continued into the room, and met an old man who called himself Boss. He told me that he had looked for a long time for someone who was born into this world for the purpose of beautiful skating. Boss taught me the cosmic flip trick, to be done off a ledge.

I got into another battle on my way out of the basement, and Logan grew to Level 50, and soon I was outside once more. I went south to check out Route 16, and after a battle with a Rollerskater, Jack grew to Level 50. I quickly got into ANOTHER battle with another Rollerskater that came by right after, and Axel grew to Level 50 and learned Thunder in place of Slam.

I decided to continue on after that, not wanting to explore Route 16 at the moment. I reached the snowy streets of Dendemille Town, and I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team and buy supplies. I knew I'd have to explore the town later.

Current Team:

Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 49)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 49)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 50)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 50)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 50)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 50)

Pokemon Y - The Poke' Ball Factory

I went north from Laverre City to reach the Poke' Ball Factory, where all Poke' Balls in Kalos were produced. I found Shauna and Trevor there, talking among themselves about whether someone would let them into the factory. Shauna rushed ahead, and Trevor ran after her. Serena and Tierno came soon after, confused as to why Shauna and Trevor had just rushed off like that.

We heard a scream, and Shauna and Trevor ran away to the city, with a Flare Grunt chasing after them! Tierno ran off to help them, and Serena was concerned about the presence of Team Flare there. I went to the factory, and snagged a Max Revive before I went inside to clear Team Flare out of the factory.

I quickly got spotted by a Flare Grunt, and she told me that they weren't doing tours today. Shauna came by to support me, and asked the Flare Grunt if she needed to work a job at the factory to pay for her ugly suit. The Flare Grunt wasn't amused, and Shauna fought her so I could go on and battle the other grunts.

I quickly got into a battle with a Flare Grunt, but Logan took them out quick and he grew to Level 47. I continued through on a conveyor belt, and got into a battle with another Flare Grunt, and through it Axel grew to Level 46. I continued my way through on the conveyor belts, and got into another battle with a Flare Grunt.

I healed my team, and continued on more conveyor belts. I snagged a Timer Ball at the end of one of the belts, then I made my way up some stairs to a hanging path above. I had to battle another Flare Grunt, then I found a small office on that hanging path where the few workers of the highly-automated factory. I got my team healed by one of them, and another told me how to reverse the path of the conveyor belt.

I flipped the switch, and made my way around the place to find another office. When I got there, I found the man who ran the factory being confronted by a trio of Team Flare members. The leader of the trio demanded the old man work for Team Flare, either helping them get the Poke' Balls to their gang or to contribute 5 MILLION Pokedollars to become a member.

The owner demanded to know what they were thinking, and told them he would never forgive any group that tries to take all the Poke' Balls for itself. The green-haired one told the leader to quit wasting her time, and she agreed and suggested that they BLOW UP THE FACTORY! I couldn't allow that, and I made my presence known.

The owner requested my help, and the Team Flare Admin mocked the man before she battled me. She sent out Scraggy, and I sent out Axel against it. Axel attacked with Thunderbolt for massive damage, then Scraggy countered with Scary Face to lower Axel's speed. I had Axel attack with Slam next, and it was enough to knock Scraggy out.

Houndoom was sent out next, and I sent Cadence out against it. Cadence hit it with Moonblast, and it did massive damage, then Houndoom countered with Feint for minor damage. Cadence attacked with Dazzling Gleam next, and it did great damage to knock out Houndoom and win the battle.

After the battle, the Flare Admin was mocked by the other Team Flare Scientists, and they said they would work together to bring me down. Serena came by after that, and helped me to fight against the scientists in a Double Battle!

The Team Flare Scientists, Celosia and Bryony, sent out Liepard and Manectric while I sent out Axel and Serena sent out Meowstic. Axel used Thunderbolt against Liepard, but Manectric took the attack thanks to it's ability and raised it's attack. Meowstic used Light Screen to defend, then Manectric used Thunder Fang against Meowstic for good damage, and Liepard used Taunt against Meowstic.

I switched Axel out for Jack, and Manectric used Bite against Jack for minor damage, then Liepard used Assurance against Jack for good damage, before Meowstic hit Manectric with Psychic for good damage. Jack used Smackdown against Manectric for great damage, then it countered with Thunder Fang for great damage against Jack, then Liepard used Assurance against Meowstic for massive damage which knocked it out.

Serena sent out Chesnaught, and I switched Jack out for Brody. Manectric used Thunder Fang against Brody but it did nothing, then Liepard used Assurance against Chesnaught for minor damage, before it countered with Seed Bomb for massive damage. Manectric used Bite against Brody next for minor damage, and Liepard used Taunt against Brody, then Brody used Strength to knock out Manectric before Chesnaught used Seed Bomb to knock out Liepard.

Through the battle Axel, Jack, Cadence, and Brody all grew to Level 47, while Gabriel grew to Level 48. After the battle, the Team Flare Admin told them that they had already stolen what they needed, and should call it a day. The trio left, and the owner thanked Serena and I for saving him and his employees. He offered to give me a Master Ball or a Big Nugget as thanks, and I chose the Master Ball as my reward. He also gave me the Big Nugget as well, and he gave both to Shauna as well.

I left the office and went to the other one to heal my team, then I made my way to the entrance to leave. I met up with Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno near the entrance, and Serena came by behind me to meet up with the others. She told them that Team Flare messed everything up, and that it wasn't a good time to explore the factory. It turned out that the others barely even heard of Team Flare before that moment, and Serena told them what they had done at the factory.

After she explained the situation, the three commented their disapproval at the actions of Team Flare, and Trevor thought it best not to get involved. Trevor and Tierno left, and Shauna commented on how awesome Serena and I were for beating Team Flare. Shauna left after that, leaving Serena and I. Serena thanked me for saving the factory, though she worried that if she kept relying on me like this that going on this journey would lose its meaning.

I left the factory and received a Holo Clip. I had received a message, an emergency broadcast telling everyone that the Poke' Ball Factory had been attacked, and said that while the perpetrators were unknown the sales of Poke' Balls was expected to be unaffected.

I headed back into Laverre City, proud of myself for stopping Team Flare, and glad to have been able to save the factory.

Current Team:

Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 47)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 47)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 47)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 47)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 48)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 47)

Pokemon Y - Laverre City and the Laverre Gym

While at the Laverre City Pokemon Center, I met up with Mr. Bonding again, and he gave me Encounter Power Lv. 1 to go with my other O-Powers. I also heard a little song about the end of the ancient war in Kalos, and tipped the singer before I left.

Laverre City was called "The city of otherworldly dreams" according to the sign there, and then I visited the Laverre Boutique where I bought a nice black v-neck t-shirt, and I went to the Pokemon Center to change my outfit with the black hat I had bought the other week as well. With a new style going on, I left the Pokemon Center again to explore the city further.

I received TM41 (Torment) from a kid before I went into a house to meet some of the other people living there. I didn't find much there, so I left and talked to a man at the nearby gate after that and received a Poke' Doll from him. I continued through the town, and received a Gengarite from a Hex Girl, then I did a bit more exploring.

I relaxed at a cafe there at the north side of the city, then I decided I would go to the Laverre Gym, which was an old building built inside of a mushroom-covered tree.

My team consisted of:

Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 45)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 46)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 45)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 45)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 45)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 45)

I was told by the Gym Guide that the Laverre Gym was a Fairy-Type Gym, and that I needed to make my way around the brightly-colored gym with warp panels. I went right, and found myself in another room of this fairy-tale designed Gym.

The first room I found myself in was a sewing room with fabrics, books, and shelves where someone would design dresses. I took another warp panel and found myself in a bathroom. I continued on and found myself in a study where I finally met with a Trainer. I got into a quick battle and won, and I continued on.

I found myself in some kind of living room where another Trainer stood there waiting for me. We had a short battle, and Logan grew to Level 46, then I continued onto another warp panel. I went back a couple times through the panels I tried, then after a time I found myself in another room, some kind of dressing room it seemed.

There was nobody there, so I continued on, and found a kitchen and dining room where I managed to sneak by a Trainer, before I got onto another warp panel and reached a bedroom. I got into another battle with another Trainer here, and through the battle Brody grew to Level 46. I continued on, and finally found the Gym Leader.

I went up to her, and the Gym Leader introduced herself as Valerie. She spoke of the surprising strength of Fairy-Type Pokemon, and then we battled.

I sent out Logan against her Mawile, and he struck with Petal Dance for massive damage, before it countered with Crunch for minor damage. Logan struck again with Petal Dance, being locked into the attack, and it knocked out Mawile before Logan grew confused.

I kept Logan in the fight when Mr. Mime was sent out, and while though he was confused Logan managed to attack with Venoshock for massive damage that left Mr. Mime deep in the red, and then Mr. Mime used Light Screen to increase it's special defense. Valerie used a Hyper Potion after that, and Logan was still confused and hurt himself. I had Logan try again, but he hurt himself once more before he got hit by Pschic for massive damage.

I switched over to Gabriel, who received a Psychic attack for great damage. I had Gabriel go high, and Mr. Mime used Reflect to increase defense before Fly struck for good damage, then it used Psychic to do massive damage to Gabriel. I decided to switch to Axel, who took a Psychic attack for massive damage. Axel attacked next with Thunderbolt for great damage, then Mr. Mime knocked him out with Psychic.

I sent Cadence out next, and Valerie used a Hyper Potion to heal Mr. Mime before Cadence attacked with Magical Leaf for minor damage. I found myself in trouble, and sent Brody out when Mr. Mime used Light Screen once more to increase special defense. I had Brody go underground, and Mr. Mime used Reflect next to increase defense, before Brody struck with Dig for great damage. Mr. Mime attacked with Psychic after that for minor damage.

I found that Brody could take the attack without much difficulty, so I had Brody attack with Strength for great damage, and Mr. Mime countered with Psychic for good damage. I had Brody attack once more with Strength, and Mr. Mime was knocked out!

Gabriel grew to Level 47, and there was only one Pokemon left. I switched to Logan while Valerie sent out Sylveon. I used a Hyper Potion to heal Logan, who got hit by Dazzling Gleam for minor damage, and then reflect wore off. Logan struck with Venoshock next, and it did great damage, then Sylveon countered with Dazzling Gleam once more for minor damage. Logan kept up the attack with Venoshock, and it did massive damage to knock Sylveon out and win the battle!

Cadence grew to Level 46, and learned Moon Blast in place of Fairy Wind, and Jack also grew to Level 46. After the battle, Valerie handed me the Fairy Badge, which would allow me control of Pokemon up to Level 80, and she also handed over TM99 (Dazzling Gleam) as well. She talked about the designs of her dresses, telling me they were like that because she always wanted to be a Pokemon, but admitted that she found the only time she feels truly at one with Pokemon is when she's in a battle.

I left the Laverre Gym, proud of my team and feeling a newfound respect for Fairy-Type Pokemon after the difficulty I had beating her. I heard someone calling to me when I left, and I found Shauna and Trevor there to greet me. Shauna told me she and Trevor were going to go to the Poke' Ball Factory, and asked that I come with them.

I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team, and I taught Dazzling Gleam to Cadence in place of Magical Leaf before I decided to call it a day. I would have to check out the Poke' Ball Factory later.

Current Team:

Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, LV. 46)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 47)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 46)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 46)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 46)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 45)

Pokemon Y - Going to Laverre City

I headed north through the gate to Route 14, and I couldn't even get past the stone steps before I heard Trevor calling to me from further north. He stood by Serena, and told me that they were comparing their Pokedex entries. Trevor won the comparison between them, but I saw more Pokemon in the Kalos Mountain Region than he did.

Serena wanted a battle after that, and she sent out Meowstic while I sent out Logan against it. I suspected it was an Ice-Type Pokemon, and I switched out to Gabriel, who took a hit but burned Meowstic thanks to his ability. Gabriel struck with Flame Charge for great damage, then Meowstic countered with Psychic for great damage, then it got hurt by burn. Gabriel struck with another Flame Charge for great damage, and it attacked with Disarming Voice for minor damage before it was knocked out by it's burn.

Logan grew to Level 44, and then I sent Cadence out against Serena's Absol. Absol attacked with Quick Attack for minor damage, then Cadence attacked with Fairy Wind for massive damage. Cadence attacked with Fairy Wind once more, and Absol was knocked out.

Gabriel grew to Level 45, and Jack grew to Level 44, then I sent Gabriel out against Serena's last Pokemon, Chesnaught. Gabriel attacked with Flame Charge for great damage, then it countered with Seed Bomb for minor damage. Gabriel struck next with Acrobatics, and it did massive damage to knock out Chesnaught. Cadence grew to Level 44, and the battle was won.

Shauna came by, and complimented us on having an intense battle. She asked where Tierno was, and Trevor told her that he was at the Fighting dojo. Tierno came by quickly, telling us he lost track of time during a sparring dance. Serena asked him if he found any good Pokemon for his dance team, and he told us that he did, that he was very close to his ideal dance team. I was glad he had managed to get something worthwhile done on his journey thus far, as he seemed to be the least capable of the bunch.

Shauna told us we should all go to the scary house, by Laverre City, which Trevor thought was just a rumor, but Shauna was determined to find out if it was real. Serena said she'd pass, sure it was just a rumor. She went north, and Trevor and Tierno followed, and Shauna started on, before she asked why I was traveling. She said that everyone is working really hard at what they want to do, but told me that she's just all about memories, goofing around. She left after that, and I went back to Lumiose City to heal my team before I went north.

I quickly got into a battle with a Pokemon Ranger, and Axel grew to Level 44. I found a Big Mushroom nearby, then I wandered over to some tall grass where I found a new Pokemon, Goomy, but it was knocked out by Axel after escaping a couple Pokeballs. Brody grew to Level 45, and I looked around for another.

After some time I found another Goomy (Dragon, Female, Lv. 30) and after a time I finally caught it. It took some effort to catch it, but I had another new Pokemon. I went through the marsh and found a Cleanse Tag, then I got into another battle with another Pokemon Ranger. It went quickly, and then I got into another battle with a Hex Girl.

I beat the Hex Girl and continued through the marsh to get into another battle with another Pokemon Ranger, and through the battle Logan grew to Level 45, and learned Synthesis in place of Leech Seed, and Gabriel grew to Level 46. I got TM06 (Toxic) from a Hex Girl nearby, then I got into a battle with another Trainer, and Axel grew to Level 45. I grabbed TM61 (Will-O-Wisp) nearby before I continued north.

I was spotted by Shauna, who ledt me off the main path to find a spooky house. Trevor and Tierno were both there as well, and Trevor suggested we go inside, though Tierno was scared of the house. Shauna and Trevor were both eager to go inside, and I figured I'd check it out too. We found a man inside, who told us a story.

He told us it was a dark and stormy night many years ago when he arrived at this house while lost. He said the lights wouldn't turn on, so he looked around the house and found his way to the kitchen with no sign of anyone there. He said he opened the fridge, and a faint light leaked out, and he could make out his surroundings.

It was in the light that he saw the faint outline of a man huddling in the corner of the room, and he tried to tell the man that he was lost and hoping he could stay until morning, but when he approached the man screamed "Stay back!" He apologized, and asked if the man could help him, but the man shouted "I'm not talking to you!"

He was surprised, and the man asked him "Can't you see them? Behind you! A horde of faceless men!" He asked for a tip after that creepy story, and everyone was confused that he was charging us for a story. He told us that even haunted houses aren't free, and I gave him a small tip before we all left.

Everyone left, and I continued north to finally reach Laverre City. I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team, and decided to call it a day.

Current Team:

Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 45)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 45)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 45)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 45)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 45)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 46)

Pokemon Y - Exploring Lumiose City

I wandered around Lumiose City for a bit, and I found a couple Skaters who taught me new moves, one being a "Drift-and-Dash" and the other being a backflip I could perform off of ledges. I also found a nice little shop offered baked goods called Lumiose Galettes, and I bought one and received a free Moomoo Milk to go with it.

I found a couple Trainers willing to battle as I wandered around the maze-like city, one being lost by a cafe and others just standing around in alleyways. I defeated them all, and through the battles Axel, Cadence, and Logan all grew to Level 43, and Brody grew to Level 44. I also received an Elixir from a Beauty that I defeated, which was a pleasant surprise.

I went to the northern Pokemon Center and healed my team, then I decided to look up a map of Lumiose City so that I could best explore this massive, winding city. I went into Hotel Richissime on North Boulevard, and found Mr. Bonding, and he gave me Bargain Power Lv. 1 which would allow me to more cheaply purchase items at Poke' Marts. This seemed like it would be very useful for what I had heard of acquiring Style Points in Lumiose City.

I talked to people in the lobby, and spoke with some members of the staff. I was surprised when one of them offered me a job there, and I accepted for some quick cash. I could chose to do Room Service, make beds, or work Lost and Found. I decided to work Room Service. I met with the concierge, Stew, and he told me that he wanted me to correctly remember guests' orders. I soon got a call at the desk, and the guest placed an order for Mild Iapapa Berry Stroganoff, Sludge Wave style, and I gave Stew the order.

The woman at the desk told me my work was perfect after the guest was absolutely thrilled with getting their order, and I received $2000 for my work. After that I decided to explore the hotel floor by floor, and talk with the guests staying there. One of the guests was an odd girl who wanted to listen to the elevator, and another guest on the top floor gave me TM49 (Echoed Voice), but there was little else to see at that point so after that I went back down to the lobby to leave.

My next stop was the Lumiose Museum, which stored much beautiful artwork free to view, but I decided to spend some cash on an audio guide so I could learn more of the artwork. I went to the right and found several paintings that were part of a set, all depicting scenery that inspired overseas artists while they were visiting Kalos.

I went to the left after that and looked at more artwork, which depicted scenes of other regions, which included Sinnoh's Battle Frontier, Unova's Castelia City, and Johto's Ecruteak City. I decided to talk to some of the people there who were admiring the artwork, and one of them gave me TM82 (Dragon Tail).

I headed up to the next floor after that, where I found some lovely artwork of people interacting with Pokemon. One was of Mr. Briney and his Wingull, Peeko, both of whom I had met when I started my journey in Hoenn. I went to the right side of the second floor, and found artwork depicting the marvels of engineering that were the Kalos Power Plant and the Pokeball Factory, all four part of a series focused on technology in Kalos.

I went to the top floor, and checked out the artwork to the right which seemed to depict historical Kalos in different styles. The artwork was interesting, but nothing really stood out to note except for one of a portrait of royalty that requested the artist add Mew to the picture to make him seem more regal.

I went to the left side of the top floor and found a few pieces of artwork that depicted various subjects. One of the pieces was about the Battle Subway of Unova, featuring a couple Trainers and their pokemon battling it out on a speeding subway train, while another featured a Trainer and his Pokemon finding a fossil in the Sinnoh Underground. I felt myself missing the underground and the excitement of finding new items and fossils, and building up my own secret base.

I left the museum after that, and referred to the map I found to see more of the city. I went along North Boulevard and found Cafe Ultimo, a place for Super Training fanatics. The people there described Super Training to me, and it seemed like I would need to do some research on this Super Training if I wanted to make my ultimate team.

I found Cafe Action nearby, which was apparently for those who were fanatical about Trainer PR Videos. One of the people there gave me a new text style, but there wasn't much else to do there. I had remade my own Trainer PR video and set it to my favorites the night before, so that I could have something good to show.

I left the cafe and went into another building nearby. I was given a Star Piece from a scientist who was there as thanks for letting her see Cadence. I went up in the elevator and talked with people on the second floor who were working in cubicles, and most of them were predictably annoyed at having to work on such a lovely day. I went up to the fourth floor and talked with more people who were working up there, and I received a Prism Scale from a little girl.

I left the building and looked to my map to see where I was and what else I could do. I quickly found the Battle Institute, which would give me Battle Points and prizes based on how skilled I was battling against five Trainers in a row. It seemed that I would have to become the Champion to even attempt a test though, so I left soon after.

I found Cafe Bataille and went inside, and was told it was a cafe for Trainers dedicated to Pokemon Battles. I saw four Black Belts along the wall, and I talked with each of them to get very useful advice on Abilities and moves that Pokemon can use and how they could work in my favor.

I went down Autumnal Avenue and found several places to explore, the first of which being the Poke' Ball Botique. I talked to the people inside and received Heal Balls from one girl before I talked with the lady working at the counter. I had heard that getting lots of style points was as easy as buying lots of the Premier Balls which were sold there for a good price, but I would have to buy them one at a time.

I sold the Star Piece I had for almost $5000, and I started buying up a bunch of Premier Balls, one at a time, until I had 20 of them in my bag. I thought that would be enough to get into Botique Couture, which was the only reason I wanted to increase my Style to begin with. I went ahead and bought a few Dusk Balls while I was at it, for later use, then I left.

I went into nearby Cafe Pokemon-Amie, which was for Trainers who dedicated themselves to Pokemon-Amie. Pokemon-Amie is a system that allows a Trainer to play with their Pokemon and grow closer through fun activities. While I did spot a new Pokemon in the cafe, there wasn't much for me to do there, so I left and continued to explore.

I found Restaurant Le Yeah nearby, a two-star restaurant which featured Triple Battles, four in a row, and at the end of each battle I would eat a different course of my meal. I didn't feel like going through all that at this time, because it still seemed like I had a lot to explore, but I knew I would have to come back later.

The next place I found was the Juice Shoppe, which offered either premium Berry Juice or fresh-made Berry Juice created from my own stock of berries. I did a bit of research and found out that depending on what Berries I selected I could create juices that would alter the growth of my Pokemon, and I wasn't exactly interested in trying to figure all that out.

I continued exploring and found myself in Rogue Alley where I spotted a vacant storefront that was recently rented out, though the renter had not gotten there yet. I left there and also found Sushi High Roller, but the bouncer wouldn't let me in unless I got famous, because it was a restaurant for VIPs only.

I continued on to Hibernal Avenue, and first checked out Cafe Kizuna, which seemed to be a Cafe popular with people who had strong friendships with Pokemon. I left the cafe and went next door to Restaurant Le Wow, which was only open to Trainers who were as strong as the Champion.

I went to Jaune Alley and found an apartment there, which I discovered was the home of Trevor. It turned out that his parents were Pokemon Trainers who were out in the world training their Pokemon, and it seemed they left Trevor and his siblings there in Kalos.

I next visited Vert Alley, and got into a battle with a Punk Girl, though it only took Logan one attack to win the battle. I visited Cafe Cyclone after that, which didn't seem to have a focus to it. I heard a poem, saw someone put on a costume, and met a poor Furfrou who wanted to get a proper grooming. I tipped them all and left for new sights.

Finally I reached  Estival Avenue, the last road I needed to visit. I went to the Loto-ID Center, which had a daily lotto ticket number to be matched to your Pokemon's ID number. I didn't win, but I knew I could keep coming back for the chance of getting some good items.

I checked out Cafe Rouleau after that, a place for Roller Skaters like myself to gather. It was there I learned my last trick, "the 360" which I could use to spin off a ramp. I left there to check out the last cafe in the city, Cafe Gallant, which seemed almost empty of customers but seemed to employ only men.

I ended my exploration of Lumiose City with a visit to Lumiose Press, the major newspaper publisher of Lumiose City. I was told by a woman in the office that the editor-in-chief had been gone for a long time, and that she left a note on the desk. The memo on the desk said she'd be away to pursue the Mythical Pokemon, and that she would first go deep into the mountains.

I met up with the woman who gave me the Exp. Share, the journalist Alexa, and she told me that while she would go around the world for news that her focus was Lumiose City. Alexa told me that she knew everything about the city, and offered to tell me about all of Lumiose's hottest spots upon request.

Before I would call it a day, I decided to go to the Boutique Couture and see if I could even get in, and to my pleasant surprise I was allowed to shop there. The shop had two floors, the first floor dedicated to women's clothing and the second floor dedicated to men's clothing. They had some great styles I was interested in purchasing, but I didn't have the cash necessary to purchase what I wanted.

I went to a nearby Pokemon Center to heal my team, and called it a day. I spent enough time sightseeing, it was time to get back to my journey!

Pokemon Y - The Lumiose Gym and Lysandre Cafe

I headed toward the central tower in Lumiose City, called Prism Tower, and I noticed a Gym logo on the tower, just above what looked like a large doorway. I met up with Shauna there, and she pointed out a boy standing at this doorway. She told me his name was Clemont, and that he was the Lumiose City Gym Leader. She went on to explain that he's an inventor who has apparently created many different things. I also found out that she and Clemont were friends.

I watched as Clemont and a little girl stood by the tower, the former checking out the lighting circuit to make sure it was in working order. The girl noticed Shauna there, and called out to her, wondering if she was a challenger, and asked her to wait a moment. She demanded that Clemont hurry up, and he was soon ready to light up the tower. I watched as he activated the lighting system, and the Prism Tower suddenly glowed brightly, lights activating from the bottom to the top.

Shauna commented on feeling entranced, and told me she was happy to share another great memory with me. Meanwhile, Clemont was happy to see his Prism Tower lighting system working just as well as all his other inventions, but the girl (I assumed to be his sister) wasn't impressed. She reminded him that challengers were waiting for him, and then she told Shauna and I that Prism Tower itself is Lumiose City's Pokemon Gym, which I was surprised by.

The two went inside, and Shauna admired his inventions. She told me she had been given an invention of his that solves puzzles, but told me that it always feels like a shame to use it, and so she hasn't yet. She wished me luck at the Gym, and I was free to take on the challenge.

My team consisted of:

Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 41)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 42)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 41)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 42)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 41)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 43)

I was informed by the Gym Guide that the Lumiose Gym was focused on Electric-Type Pokemon, and that it was also known as a quiz gym. I wondered what he meant by that, but he wouldn't elaborate further. I found myself wishing that Brody knew more Ground-Type moves than just Dig, but it would have to do. At least Logan was resistant to Electric-Type moves because of being a Grass-Type Pokemon.

The bottom floor was a place with blue and green lights flashing on the walls, and glowing white panels on the floors. There was also a central pillar at the center with doors, and I talked to a couple sightseers before I went to the pillar and headed up.

I went up to the next floor, and found a room with three doors, a small stage, and a screen on the wall. The room lit up and Trainers came out of the doors, while the little girl from before greeted me at the stage. She introduced herself as Bonnie, and told me that she was in fact Clemont's sister. She advised me to step on a panel ahead of me.

I was quizzed on Pokemon, having to name the Pokemon that was outlined. The picture was of a Pikachu like Axel, and I went to door 3 to battle the Trainer there. The Trainer's Dedenne went down fairly quickly, and Logan and Cadence grew to Level 42. I went into the elevator, ans was told my answer was correct, and I headed up to the next floor.

On the next floor I was shown the outline of a Fletchling, like Gabriel was when I first caught him. I went to door 1 and gave Brody a Lucky Egg before I battled the Trainer there. The Trainer's Raichu went down with a single Dig attack, and Brody grew to Level 42, and I taught him Bounce in place of Agility. My answer was correct, and I moved on.

I stepped forward for another quiz, and I saw a picture of one of the elemental monkey Pokemon, which looked to be Panpour. I went to door 3 and battled the Trainer there, who had an Ampharos, and his Pokemon went down after a short battle. Diggersby was paralyzed by the Ampharos' Static ability, and I went into the elevator and was told that my answer was correct.

I went up to the next floor, and healed Brody of his paralysis and gave him a Potion before I stepped forward to see an outline of Butterfree, and another Kalos Bug/Flying-Type Pokemon I believed to be named Vivillion, and then another Bug/Flying-Type Pokemon I recognized as another that originated from Sinnoh, though I couldn't remember the name.

She asked me which one was Vivillion, and choose which of the doors I believed would be the answer. I was sure it was door 2, and got into another battle. The Trainer's Plusle went down with one Strength attack, and Brody grew to Level 43. I went into the elevator and found that I was correct, and I went up to face the Gym Leader.

I took the Lucky Egg from Brody so he wouldn't go too far ahead of the others, and I stepped forward to confront Clemont. I stepped onto the stage that he was standing on, and he thanked me for coming before his sister, Bonnie, introduced him formally. She warned me that her brother was strong, and Clemont pulled her aside to tell her that strength of the Trainers had nothing to do with anything, that we were only here because of the strength of our Pokemon.

The battle started with Clemont popping a couple mechanical arms from his backpack, and he sent out Emolga while I sent Brody out against it. Emolga used Aerial Ace for good damage before Brody countered with Strength for great damage. Emolga used another Aerial Ace for good damage before Brody knocked it out with Strength.

Heliolisk was sent out next, and I kept Brody in the fight. Heliolisk used Quick Attack for good damage, then Brody burrowed underground. Brody avoided a Quick Attack, and then struck with Dig to knock Heliolisk out.

Jack grew to Level 43, and then I sent Gabriel out to fight against the last Pokemon, Magneton. Gabriel struck with Flame Charge for massive damage, but it clung on to use Electric Terrain which made electricity flow through the ground. The move seemed to do nothing, and I had Gabriel attack with Flame Charge once more for great damage which knocked out Magneton. Gabriel grew to Level 44, and learned Acrobatics in place of Razor Wind.

The battle was won, and when Bonnie was shocked at her brother's loss, Clemont told her that there's no shame in losing. He told her that he's glad whenever he gets to learn something new thanks to strong challengers like myself. With that, Clemont handed me the Voltage Badge, which would allow me to control Pokemon up to Level 70. Clemont also handed over TM24 (Thunderbolt) as well.

Clemont got irritated with Bonnie when she told me about the move, apparently regularly interrupted by his sister because of her youthful energy, though he didn't seem like he was much older than she was. He told me that his desire was to enjoy every day to the fullest with his Pokemon while doing the science that he loves with his inventing.

I left the gym, and received a Holo Clip from Professor Sycamore. He wanted to talk with me for a bit, and asked that I come to the Lysandre Cafe, which was located by the Pokemon Center by Prism Tower. He said it was the red Cafe, and that I could hop into a taxi if I couldn't find it.

I went around Centrico Plaza and found a Photo Spot and got a picture of myself in front of Prism Tower. I found myself desperately wishing that Lumiose City had it's own map on my device, but I made my way to the Magenta Plaza, and quickly found the Lysandre Cafe. I saw Professor Sycamore and Lysandre there talking, and Sycamore called me over.

I made my way to them inside this red cafe, and Sycamore told me they were having a conversation about Mega Evolution. Lysandre congratulated me and told me that he wished he too could use Mega Evolution. Sycamore revealed to me that Lysandre is of royal ancestry, descended from the king's younger brother. He admitted though that because the story was 3,000 years old it might not be entirely reliable.

Sycamore asked if I knew where the Holo Caster is made, to which I told him no, I didn't, and he said that they're made in Lysandre's lab. He touted Lysandre qualities, and said that he supports Trainers and Pokemon research with some profits from the Holo Caster. Lysandre told me that people could be divided into two groups, those who give and those who take. He said it was just as the Kalos region's two Legendary Pokemon gave life and took life.

Lysandre continued, telling me he wanted to be the kind of person who gives, but said that in this world some foolish humans exist who would show show their strength by taking what isn't theirs. He denounced those people as filth, and told me about the king of Kalos who wanted to take everything for his own, and how in that greed he created a terrible weapon which unleashed a fire of destruction.

Lysandre said that Kalos was currently beautiful, and that there would be no foolish actions if the number of people and Pokemon don't increase. He continued on to say that the future isn't decided, and said that you can't be sure that each day will be like the one before. Lysandre did have something good to say of the king though, that while his actions were reprehensible that the ultimate weapon DID manage to wash the world clean of that era's filth.

Lysandre gave me a King's Rock and thanked me for listening, and said that the King's Rock was an apology for taking up my time. Lysandre left, leaving Sycamore and I alone with the other patrons. Sycamore commented on Lysandre's passion, like a blazing flame, and wondered if the pride in his lineage is what makes him burn so intensely.

Sycamore told me that what Lysandre says is only one way of looking at things, and that it wasn't necessarily the truth. He told me that what was truly important is the time you spend together with others, and told me to treasure these moments spent traveling the Kalos region with my Pokemon.

I left the Lysandre Cafe, and got another Holo Clip, this time from Trevor. He told me that they were all going to meet on Route 14, and asked that I join them. I would eventually meet up with the others, but I decided I would go to the Pokemon Center to heal my team.

I called it a day, because I knew I would have to explore this huge city before I could continue on. There was so much to see and do, and I wanted to experience it all while I had a break on my journey!

Current Team:

Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 42)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 42)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 42)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 43)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 43)

Pokemon Y - Kalos Power Plant

I started the day taking care of some berries, and thanks to a few battles I got into with Bug-Type Pokemon who were attacking the trees I was able to get Logan and Brody both to Level 39. I looked around the boutique shops and didn't find much I was interested in, so I went ahead and started south from Coumarine City.

I couldn't even reach the gate to Route 13 when I got a Holo Clip. It was from Lysandre, the red-haired man I met earlier. He was informed by Professor Sycamore that I could use Mega Evolution, and congratulated me. He said I could steer my future in a better direction, then commented on how we can't cover up the old filth with new filth. He then asked me to consider what we need to do to change the world into a new and beautiful world.

The Holo Clip ended, and with that odd message I continued to the gate. While at the gate I heard of the Kalos Power Plant being located on Route 13, and I was given Black Sludge before I started heading south. Before I could even leave the gate, I heard someone shouting at me, and found the two scientists, Sina and Dexio, waiting for me. They told me they were on their way to the Power Plant at Professor Sycamore's request, but said that the gate connecting Lumiose City to Route 13 had been shut by a power outage.

Sina reminded me of Central Kalos and Costal Kalos, and then Dexio told me that there was another area, called Mountain Kalos. They updated my Pokedex with the Mountain Kalos Pokedex entries, and then Sina commented on how I looked more mature than the last time we met. They left after that, and finally I could move on.

I went south on the rocky terrain of Route 13, and I found a PP Up, Smooth Stone, and an X Accuracy, and through several battles with Wild Pokemon both Cadence and Axel grew to Level 39. I continued on and kept having Pokemon chasing after me from underground, and through several more battles Jack grew to Level 40.

I kept going through Route 13 but kept getting attacked by Ground-Type Pokemon who prevented me from escaping by because of their Arena Trap abilities. I managed to find a Flame Plate as I continued on, and soon enough I found a member of Team Flare guarding a bridge.

I confronted the Flare Grunt and fought him, and through the battle Logan and Axel both grew to Level 40. It turned out that this was a Grunt that I had fought previously, and I wondered just how many of these useless jokers were ACTUALLY causing harm in the region. He tried to run away, but realized that he lost his Power Plant Pass.

I managed to find it, and I healed my Pokemon before I went to the mechanical door and used the Pass to enter the Power Plant. I ran down a long hallway before I reached the Power Plant proper. I was quickly spotted by another useless Flare Grunt, and through it both Brody and Cadence grew to Level 40.

After I beat the Flare Grunt, he revealed that Team Flare was redirecting the power that's supposed to go to Lumiose City, but didn't reveal where it was going or for what. He warned me not to get in their way, but I went past him to stop his buddies. I found a room nearby where all the workers and scientists were currently held by Team Flare. I snagged a Zap Plate there and continued through the Power Plant.

I fought against another Flare Grunt, but she was beaten quickly enough, and afterwards I continued through the Power Plant. I found myself in a major part of the Power Plant, and I was stopped by another Flare Grunt who was itching for a fight. His Pokemon went down quickly, and Gabriel grew to Level 42.

The Flare Grunt refused to move out of my way, so I had to try finding another way through, and I quickly got into another battle with another Flare Grunt. Jack grew to Level 41 through the battle, and I continued along trying to stop Team Flare. I got into another battle, and through the battle Logan grew to Level 41.

I got into yet another battle with another Flare Grunt, and Axel, Cadence, and Brody ALL grew to Level 41, then I healed my team before I continued along. I got into another battle after that, and the Flare Grunt went down quick. I had to deal with another Flare Grunt after that, and I started to get frustrated at the amount of these useless assholes I had to deal with.

Finally I found the assholes running the operation at the heart of the Power Plant. They were talking among themselves about having enough energy to power some device, but they noticed me before they could reveal anything else. I fought against a Team Flare Admin, whose Houndoom went down easily against Jack, and through the battle Jack grew to Level 42 while Gabriel grew to Level 43.

The Flare Admin backed off after his defeat, and ordered his scientist to fight me. I put Logan at the head of the team, and fought against the scientist, Aliana, who sent out Mightyena, while Logan went out against it. I had Logan Mega Evolve before he used Petal Dance for massive damage, which knocked Mightyena out instantly.

Axel grew to Level 42, and the battle was over. The scientist, Aliana, laughed, and said she didn't expect me to be so interesting. She hoped we could meet again, and left with the other members of Team Flare. Soon enough Sina and Dexio came up to me, dressed in unusual costumes, and disappointed that I had taken care of Team Flare before they could get there.

Sina healed my team as thanks for saving the Power Plant, and complimented the strength of my team while simultaneously warning me not to push myself too hard. Dexio handed over some Full Restores, and told me that power was back on in Lumiose City. He told me I could go through the gate at Route 13 to Lumiose City once more, and they left.

I checked on the workers before I left, and I received TM43 (Flame Charge) and a Magnet as thanks for saving the Power Plant. I left the Power Plant and went south, and I snagged a Sun Stone before I went down some stairs, and found myself before a towering stranger. He mentioned a flower Pokemon, one that was given eternal life, and then wandered off toward Lumiose City.

I got back to Lumiose City, and heard Shauna call for me. She ran up to me and told me she had been running after me for a while. She had heard that the power had been returned to Lumoise City, and that the Power Plant had been under attack by Team Flare. I told her that I was the one who saved the Power Plant, and she couldn't believe it. Shauna told me they were going to light up the big tower at the center of the city, which we could see from our position.

The tower, called Prism Tower, was at the center of the city. I decided I would call it a day though, and explore more of the city later. My team had deserved a break after all that work, but I would continue on soon.

Current Team:

Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 41)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 42)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 41)
Axel (Pikachu, Electric, Lv. 42)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 41)
Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 43)

Pokemon Y - Azure Bay, Coumarine City, and the Coumarine Gym

I decided to go back on the Monorail to reach the first part of Coumarine City where the docks were, because I wanted to go and check out the bay near there. I rode the Monorail, and when I got there I found a girl on a hill overlooking the dock. I passed a quiz she had, and I received TM63 (Embargo) for my prize.

I visited the Coumarine Hotel,  where I received a Lucky Egg from a girl in the lobby. I went up to the second floor, where I met the Director, who asked that I show him my Pokedex when I've filled it up. With little else to do there, I handed the Lucky Egg to Brody before I left.

I continued along to the bay, and I got a Good Rod as I crossed the port, and I also received a Silk Scarf from an elderly man before I reached Route 12. I surfed on Jack and went north from Route 12 to find a Water Stone, then I continued heading north to reach Azure Bay.

I soon got into a battle, and afterward Brody grew to Level 36. I kept him holding the Lucky Egg so he could get more experience to keep up with the others, and I continued along Azure Bay. I got into another battle after that, and the Swimmer's Slowpoke went down quickly with a single attack from Logan.

I kept going north, and found myself on a small island, where an old man gave me Ampharosite when he saw the Mega Ring I had on my wrist. I also got into a battle with a Trainer there, and afterwards I got a photo on the island with Phil, where I got a photo of myself riding a Lapras.

I continued along Azure Bay and got into another battle, and Axel grew to Level 37. I kept on exploring, and I found another island that I could explore after I went through a side path. While there I found a Deep Sea Tooth, a Deep Sea Scale, and TM81 (X-Scissor), and with nothing else to find there I left to explore more of Azure Bay.

I found a couple small islands in the shallows to the north of that island I had explored, and I snagged a Dive Ball before I headed east to find another island with a cave. I snagged a Splash Plate on the shore before I went into the cave. Inside the cave I found nothing, a large area but nothing else to see. I figured I had seen everything I could, and I headed south after that to reach Coumarine City once more.

I rode on the Monorail again to reach the main part of Coumarine City, and went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team. After that I explored the town, talking to the citizens. I found one person who could do Pokemon calls, and I received a Poke' Toy from them when I identified Pikachu's call. I also found a Sky Plate when I looked through the last of the city before I reached the Coumarine Gym.

When I got to the Gym, Serena came running up from behind, apologizing for being late. She asked that I show her Mega Evolution, wanting to know what the potential of a Pokemon really is. I was more than happy to show her, especially with Logan at the head of my team.

Serena sent out Meowstic, adn I sent Logan out against it. I had Logan Mega Evolve into Mega Venusaur, and Meowstic used Fake Out to make Logan flinch. Meowstic used Light Screen next to increase special defense, before Logan struck with Petal Dance for great damage. Meowstic used Psybeam for great damage after that, before Logan attacked with Petal Dance once more to knock it out.

Absol was sent out next, and I sent Cadence out against it. Cadence struck with Fairy Wind for good damage, then Absol countered with Slash for great damage. Absol struck with Quick Attack after that for good damage, and Cadence countered with another Fairy Wind for good damage. I saw that her attacks, while super effective, weren't good enough to take down Absol, and so I switched Cadence out for Brody.

Brody got hit by Quick Attack for good damage, and then Light Screen wore off, then Brody struck with Mud Shot for good damage before it countered with Slash for great damage. Brody attacked with Mud Shot once more, and knocked Absol out to grow to Level 37 and learned Dig in place of Mud Shot. Cadence and Logan also grew to Level 37, while Gabriel grew to Level 38.

Quilladin was sent out last, and I sent Gabriel out against it. Gabriel went high, and avoided Bite, then he attacked with Fly to knock Quilladin out instantly! Jack grew to Level 37, and the battle was won!

Serena reflected on how powerful I had become compared to her, even though we both started in Vaniville Town. She wondered what could be so different about us, but wished me luck with my Gym Battle before she left. I went to the Pokemon Center to heal my team, and gave Jack the Lucky Egg before I went to the Coumarine Gym to earn my next Badge.

My team consisted of:

Gabriel (Talonflame, Fire/Flying, Lv. 38)
Cadence (Floette, Fairy, Lv. 37)
Brody (Diggersby, Normal/Ground, Lv. 37)
Jack (Greninja, Water/Dark, Lv. 37)
Axel (Pikachu, Electirc, Lv. 37)
Logan (Venusaur, Grass/Poison, Lv. 37)

When I went inside the Gym, I found a MASSIVE tree growing at the center, with ropes leading up the tree to the top. I was informed that the Gym Leader specialized in Grass-Type Pokemon, and I knew Gabriel would be all over this. I had found out that there was a TM I missed earlier in my journey which could have been useful here, something I could have taught to Logan, but at least I knew where to find it after I could use Fly.

I climbed up the first rope, and saw two different paths I could go around the tree. I swung on a rope to the right, and got into a battle with a Pokemon Ranger. The battle was short, and I continued on up another rope. I swung across a couple more gaps, then climbed up another rope, before I found three different directions to go.

I could go left, right, or up, and I decided to try going left, but only found a path down. I went back, then right, and only found another Pokemon Ranger to battle. Through the battle Gabriel grew to Level 39, and learned Flame Charge in place of Ember. I went back and up that rope, only to find a dead end.

I went to the left, and down a rope, then further left before I got into another battle. Through the battle Brody grew to Level 38, and so did Axel, then I moved on. I climbed up the rope, then went left, and climbed up another rope. I found myself able to go left or right, though not feeling any sense of getting closer to the Gym Leader. I went right and got into another battle, and Jack, Logan, and Cadence all grew to Level 38. Cadence also learned Aromatherapy in place of Tackle.

I healed Gabriel, and climbed up the rope, then I went right and right again to finally reach the Gym Leader. He stood inside a library built at the top of the tree-like structure, and introduced himself as Ramos. He was an old man who somehow reached the top of this tall structure each and every day. He wondered if I had enjoyed his garden playground, and warned me of the strength of his team before the battle started.

Ramos sent out Jumpluff, and I sent out Gabriel against it. Gabriel used Flame Charge for massive damage, and an increase in speed, before Jumpluff used Acrobatics for good damage. Gabriel struck with Flame Charge again to knock it out, and to increase his speed further.

Gabriel grew to Level 40, and I kept him in the fight when Gogoat was sent out. Gabriel went high and avoided Take Down, before he attacked with Fly for massive damage which knocked Gogoat out. Jack grew to Level 39, and I kept Gabriel in the fight to battle against the last Pokemon, Weepinbell. Gabriel went high once more, and avoided Poison Powder, before he attacked with Fly to knock out Weepinbell and win the battle!

Ramos saw how I believed in my Pokemon, and how they believed in me, and he handed over the Plant Badge! With the Plant Badge I could use Fly outside of battle, and Pokemon up to Level 60 would obey me. Ramos also handed over TM86 (Grass Knot) which is a move that does more damage the heavier the opponent is.

I slid down the tree and left the Gym to heal my team at the Pokemon Center. After that, I decided to take a quick flight back to Camphrier Town so I could head to Route 6 once more. While I was there I took a trip to the Berry Fields to plant a Sitrus berry and get the other berries taken care of.

After that I went to Route 6 toward the Parfum Palace before I went south once more on the eastern path to find an Antidote and TM09 (Venoshock), and to get into several battles. I taught Venoshock to Logan in place of Poison Powder, which meant he finally had a powerful Poison-Type move to fight with.

I decided to call it a day after that, and knew I'd have to go back to old towns and cities to look for items I might have missed, as well as to get some new clothes now that I could reliably check stock each day.
