Pokemon Pearl - The ego of Mr. Backlot

So, with the Championship and National Pokedex under my belt, I've got some new things happening around Sinnoh. One of those happens to involve Mr. Backlot and his Trophy Garden.

I flew over to Hearthome City and went south to the Pokemon Mansion, fighting my way through all the Police Officers on patrol in the night. The Officers all used a combination of Hoothoot and a Fighting-Type Pokemon like Machop, and Maria fought them all off and grew to Level 58.

I went inside the mansion to talk to Mr. Backlot, who boasted about all he had to be proud of inside and outside of his home. He told me that he was most proud of his Trophy Garden, and that Pokemon came from all over in hopes of seeing the garden.

Mr. Backlot asked if I was envious, and I said sure, I was envious. He laughed, knowing I would be, but didn't mind sharing stories with me. He told me that when he goes out to the garden, Pokemon come running to him. He claimed that they would sidle up, happy to see him, then asked me again if I was feeling envious, to which I said yes again, to at least humor him.

Mr. Backlot was amused, and continued to boast. He told me that this morning, when he went into his Trophy Garden, a Marill ran over to him and gave him a smooch on his cheek. The butler next to him immediately perked up and turned to his master, telling him that that Pokemon doesn't exist in the garden.

Mr. Backlot suddenly realized his boasting got him caught up in a lie, and then turned to his butler and claimed he was no blowhard. He tried to cover it up by whispering to his butler, giving orders to buy some Marill and release them into the garden. The butler left to gather the Pokemon his master lied about, then Mr. Backlot claimed that it was all true, that he never lies, and that there are Marill in his Trophy Graden.

Thanks to Mr. Backlot's outrageous claims, and the wealth that he uses to cover those lies, I can get a hold of very rare Pokemon (and not-so-rare Pokemon) from all over the world. Between my current game and my old copy, I've managed to catch a couple Porygon (which I've wanted for SO damn long!), a couple Mime Jr, and a couple Eevee I intend to breed on my old copy (I bred some on the one copy, but would prefer them to have my name under OT).

I also went to the Old Chateau and snagged Rotom (Electric/Ghost, Lv. 15) with a single Quick Ball.

There's plenty of Pokemon I'm still waiting to transfer over, and I won't continue on with the story until that task is complete.

Current Team:

Maximus (Luxray, Electric, Lv. 57)
Annabelle (Torterra, Grass/Ground, Lv. 58)
Lucius (Rapidash, Fire, Lv. 58)
Alexander (Machamp, Fighting, Lv. 58)
Maria (Gastrodon, Water/Ground, Lv. 58)
Marcus (Staraptor, Normal/Flying, Lv. 58)
