Why I'm doing this

So, first time ever starting a blog, and it's all about Pokemon. Why is that, you may ask?

It's really not a complicated story at all.

Ever since Pokemon X and Y came out, everyone's been talking about how great they are, how much they've improved everything about Pokemon, and how great all the changes have been. All the talk about X and Y got me interested in the series again, but I found that all I had for the time being was Sapphire, and only at the beginning of the game. My copy of Pearl had been lent out to someone, and I've gotta start over with it.

I decided that I should go ahead through Sapphire, then bring my Pokemon over to Pearl once I got the National Pokedex. After thinking about it a bit, hearing how X and Y can take all the Pokemon from the DS games (and from the GBA games, after transferring in through Pal Park to Gen 4 and 5), I thought I should just go all-in and play through Pokemon, one game at a time, until finally I could get into X and Y. I'm not doing anything important with my life right now, so when I'm not working I'll be getting through some Pokemon game.

So that's where I'm at right now. My goal in this is to get every Pokemon I can in each game (without trading), and EVERY Legendary available in each game, and in this blog to post regularly about my adventures. I'm at 5 badges right now in Sapphire, building my Pokemon up to go for the 6th badge. I'm not going to be posting anything until I'm done with Sapphire's league, and then I'll be discussing my adventure to getting the Legendary Pokemon from there. When I'm done with Sapphire, the plan is to start up in Pearl and going through it, posting my progress on here.

I must say, a big part of my journey is going to involve the help of Bulbapedia, which has walkthroughs on all the Pokemon games. I'm going to be using their help to get every Pokemon I can, and to find and catch every single Legendary Pokemon.

I think that's it for right now. I'm going to work hard to get through the end of Sapphire, and then I can really start up on this blog. Here's hoping it all goes smoothly.
