Pokemon Black has been fun, but it's time for me to reach the game I had looked forward to for so VERY long. Pokemon Black had an interesting story and was probably the best so far for ease of training, but now I'm ready to move on.
Pokemon Seen: 463
Pokemon Owned: 297
Time Spent: 136 Hours, 54 Minutes
It's been an adventure, getting to this point, and I don't regret the time and effort I've spent. If I had started out just going to Pokemon Y, I would have been frustrated at the small sample of Pokemon I had, both normal AND Legendary. Because of my effort I have many different Pokemon, so many to train, and a collection of Legendary Pokemon to be envied.
Tomorrow I start my adventures in the Kalos region. I just hope that it's every bit as enjoyable as I've hoped it is!

Pokemon Black - Searching for the Final Sage
With all my Pokemon transferred, there were only a couple things left to do. First on my list was to get my team ready for another transfer to the Pokemon Bank, and that meant also switching out to a secondary team. I got a Wooper and the Volcarona for a couple spots, and fortunately I could teach Wooper both Surf AND Waterfall, the latter of the two something that Nora couldn't learn.
Next on my list was locating the last of the Seven Sages, and having used Wooper to explore the waterfalls on Route 14, I found him. I found Sage Giallo, the last of the Seven Sages, at the top of a waterfall. He talked to me about things, like an old saying that spoke of the connection friends have, and told me that as N and his Pokemon understand one another, so too do I and my Pokemon understand one another.
Giallo handed over TM08 (Bulk Up) and told me the legend of Unova is about Pokemon and people working together to build a new world. He said that the message was simple and strong, and that if changing the world makes you a hero then anyone can become a hero. He continued on about how we can change ourselves and so the world itself changes with us.
It was then that Looker came by to arrest the final Sage, and before they left, Looker had something to tell me. He told me that he had gotten a report of someone far away, who spotted a person like N and a Dragon-Type Pokemon. Looker told me he was leaving to substantiate this information, and bid me farewell before he and Sage Giallo were both gone.
With that done, I finished up with my tasks and adventures in the Unova League.

Pokemon Black - Black City, and the Pokemon Transfer Lab
I went through Route 14, and after several battles Madelyn grew to Level 82. Quickly enough I made my way to Black City... and found almost nothing there. It was a large area, with a few smaller buildings in the center of an area surrounded by large buildings. There was nobody about aside from one person inside the Black City Pokemon Center. Disappointed, I left to Route 15.
I found an Up-Grade and TM09 (Venoshock) before I made my way to the Pokemon Transfer Lab. I went inside and had one of the scientists come up to me to talk. She asked if I was visiting, and I told her I was a Trainer on my journey. She was shocked that I had all eight Gym Badges, and called to someone named Professor Park.
She told me to follow her, and I went after her up a couple flights of stairs to the main portion of the lab. She told this Professor Park that I had all the Gym Badges, and how she was sure that I could operate "it" which I didn't understand. I stepped forward, and after a moment he realized what he was told, running up to me when he learned I had them all. He was quite excited, jumping up and shouting, and he introduced himself as Professor Andrew Park.
Andrew asked me if I was willing to participate in an ambitious experiment that will make history, and I was certainly up to the task. He told me that this device is called Poke' Transfer, and explained that it connects DS systems so I could bring Pokemon from other regions.
I would have to make final preparations in Pokemon Pearl and SoulSilver, but I would work this day to bring ALL my Pokemon over! This is the last step I need to move on to Pokemon Y, and the Kalos Region!
Current Team:
Mason (Zebstrika, Electric, Lv 82)
Arthur (Simisage, Grass, Lv. 81)
Zach (Liepard, Dark, Lv. 81)
Cole (Emboar, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 82)
Madelyn (Unfezant, Normal/Flying, Lv. 82)
Nora (Seismitoad, Water/Ground, Lv. 81)

Pokemon Black - Undella Town and a Rematch with Cynthia
After I healed my team at the Lacunosa Town Pokemon Center, I made a short trip through Route 13, and Mason grew to Level 82 through a couple battles before I made my way to Undella Town. I was given a Prism Scale from someone in the Pokemon Center there, and someone handed over HM06 (Dive) for me to explore the depths with. I was surprised to find this HM again after last seeing it in Hoenn.
I went inside a nearby home, and found Cynthia, the former champion of the Sinnoh League! She seemed to recognize me, and told me she was staying at her friend's villa so she could investigate the Abyssal Ruins nearby. Cynthia had been interested in studying myths, and underwater ruins could definitely be considered mythical.
Cynthia requested a battle with me, and I couldn't see why not. I agreed, and I sent Madelyn out against Spiritomb. Madelyn went high, and Spiritomb used Double Team to increase it's evasiveness before Madelyn hit it with Fly for massive damage. It used Double Team again, but this wouldn't stop Aerial Ace to knock it out!
Cynthia sent out Milotic next, and Mason went out to fight it. Mason used Wild Charge and struck for massive damage, and Milotic went down instantly! Garchomp was sent out next, and memories of Marcus and Garchomp battling fiercely at the end of the Championship battle in Sinnoh, and I wasn't going to let it get in my way this time!
I sent Nora out against Garchomp, and Garchomp attacked with Earthquake for great damage before Nora countered with Hydro Pump for massive damage. Garchomp used Dragon Rush next for great damage, and Garchomp avoided another Hydro Pump. Garchomp used another Earthquake, and Nora was knocked out. I sent Cole out against it next, and Garchomp used Earthquake for massive damage, but Cole clung on and struck with Brick Break for great damage.
I switched out to Madelyn, and Cynthia used a Full Restore to heal Garchomp fully. Madelyn used Feather Dance to lower Garchomp's attack, and then it attacked with Stone Edge for great damage. Madelyn went high and avoided Stone Edge to strike with Fly for great damage before Stone Edge did great damage again. Madelyn went high once more, and then attacked for great damage that left Garchomp clinging on. At the end, Madelyn used Aerial Ace to knock out Garchomp!
Eelektross was sent out next, and I sent Arthur out against it. Arthur used Leech Seed before getting hit by Flamethrower, a move I didn't think a Water/Electric-Type Pokemon like Eelektross could use. Arthur hit it with Seed Bomb for massive damage, then it attacked with Crunch for great damage that knocked out Arthur. I sent Zach out against it, and he used Night Slash to knock it out.
Lucario was sent out next, and I had Mason fight it. Mason started with Thunder Wave to paralyze it, then Lucario countered with Close Combat for massive damage that left Mason barely holding on. Lucario used Extreme Speed next to knock Mason out before he could attack.
I sent Cole out, and I gave him a Full Restore, and Lucario was stopped by paralysis. Cole hit it with Flamethrower for massive damage, and it went down hard! With Lucario out of the way, Cynthia was down to her last Pokemon!
Braviary was sent out last, and I sent Zach out against it. I used a Max Revive to restore Mason, and Zach got hit by Brave Bird for massive damage, and he barely clung on. I sent Mason out, and he got hit by Retaliate for great damage. Mason attacked with Wild Charge and dealt massive damage, knocking out Braviary and thus I won the battle!
I was glad this battle went a bit easier than our last together, and Cynthia was pumped by the battle. She told me that she loved being there in the spring and summer, but couldn't stay all year because of investigations in Sinnoh. She said she'd be happy to see me again sometime, and I left to heal my team once more.
I explored the town, and got into a battle with a boy, and Madelyn took out his Buizel in one hit. He led me to a huge building nearby, and revealed it to be his father's villa. He told me as big and spacious as it was, there was nothing to do at the villa, so the kid was bored. He told me that his father was obsessed with items at the ruins nearby, and told me to come back tomorrow for another battle.
I wasn't exactly interested in coming back, but I did talk to his father nearby who wanted rare items. I had none, and no interest in getting any. I decided I had enough in Undella Town and knew I'd be heading out to the last place on my map.

Pokemon Black - Lacunosa Town, the Great Chasm, and Catching Kyurem
I decided that this day I would explore the last few areas of Unova before I would move on to the Kalos region.
I started out by exploring Lacunosa Town, a lively place where everyone was out and about on this crisp winter day. As I talked with the citizens, one of the children told me something disturbing, that a scary monster comes out of a big hole at night, and so everyone stays inside when it gets dark.
I found an old woman who told me an old story of Lacunosa Town. She told me that there's a great hole at the back of the town, and that it was created long ago by a huge meteor. She told me that a monster was hiding inside the meteor, and that people say the monster appeared in the village at night, bringing a cold wind as it stole away people and Pokemon. To protect themselves, the villagers built big walls to keep the monster out and made a rule that no one could go out after dark.
She finished by saying that while nobody believes in this story anymore, the all still stay inside after dark. She thought it was strange, but figured that old stories and old traditions have some influence on current life. I decided I would see if there was any truth to this story, and if so see if this monster was still around to terrorize the citizens.
I went through Route 13 and got into several battles, Nora grew to Level 81, and I got TM89 (U-Turn) after I helped a Wingull before I found my way to the start of the Great Chasm. The area consisted of several hills leading to a small crater-like area with a cavern. I went into the cavern, and saw the real crater that had come from the impact of the meteorite. I used one of the many Max Repels I had loaded up on, and went to the left so I could go around towards the crater.
I snagged a couple Star Pieces, a Tiny Mushroom, a Comet Shard, and then I went down the crater and through a doorway. I saw a lot of fog, and as I stepped through I found myself out of the cavern and in a forest behind the town. I found a Max Elixir, a Max Revive, a Revive, a Full Heal, a Carbos, TM13 (Ice Beam), and TM03 (Psyshock) before I found my way out of the maze-like Forest and finally found the center of the forest.
I found the center of the chasm, a small crater where the meteorite fell, and as I looked at it snow and cold blew in, and suddenly I was in the middle of a snowy field, after the snow filled up the chasm. I went north until I found stairs leading the a large cavernous opening, and inside the cave I found the monster they spoke of in the story.
Standing before me was Kyurem (Dragon/Ice, Lv. 75) and I could tell why the stories referred to it as a scary monster. I wasn't sure how long it had been there, or if/why it ever stole away people and Pokemon, but I was about to have it for my collection of Pokemon. I didn't need to battle it at all, because I still had my Master Ball! With a throw of the Master Ball, Kyurem was caught, and I left the cave to find myself back at the forest.
I flew back to Lacunosa Town, and healed my team, then I made plans to continued exploring Unova to see the last of it and be done with my activities in the region.

Pokemon Black - Through Village Bridge to Lacunosa Town
I found myself back at home, and I flew quickly over to Opelucid City so I could continue exploring Unova. There were places to the east that I had not yet seen, and I intended to see every part of this region before leaving for Kalos.
I continued to the east on Route 11, and quickly encountered a French Backpacker who wanted to battle. The battle was over quickly when Madelyn wiped the floor with his Pokemon, and I snagged a nearby Hyper Potion before I continued heading east. I got into another battle with a Pokemon Ranger, then crossed a bridge to find a camper at the side of the road. I went inside, and found a bored Pokemon Ranger, but nothing else.
I left the camper and continued along the path east, and got into another battle with another French Backpacker, and after a short battle I kept going through Route 11. Soon I came across the end of the path, and found myself at the Village Bridge.
I got into a battle in the tall grass nearby, before I went further east to explore the Village Bridge. I explored the town built on the bridge, and I found out that the houses were built on the bridge after the original village was washed away in a flood. It was a unique method of protecting against floods, and made for a very unique town.
I joined up with the Hip Waders, a fishing club, before I came across a home with a woman and her group of Patrat. I couldn't say anything before she ran off, and I went ahead and rested at the final house before I continued east to reach the next town.
It was raining on Route 12 as I kept heading east, and I found a Full Heal and TM53 (Energy Ball) off the path before I got into a few battles. Arthur and Mason both grew to Level 81 before I finally reached Lacunosa Town.
I healed my team, and decided I would explore the town tomorrow.

Pokemon Black - The Elite Four Part 2
After a month of training every member of my team reached Level 80, and I felt they were all ready to take on the challenge of the Elite Four once more. Finally I will become Champion of the Unova League and come within striking distance of my goal to transfer all my Pokemon over and move onto Pokemon Y.
It was winter when I reached the Pokemon League for my second attempt at the Championship, after Team Plasma interrupted my previous attempt. With almost all of them out of the way, there would be nothing to stop my journey to the end of the league.
My team consisted of:
Zach (Liepard, Dark, Lv. 80)
Cole (Emboar, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 80)
Arthur (Simisage, Grass, Lv. 80)
Madelyn (Unfezant, Normal/Flying, Lv. 80)
Mason (Zebstrika, Electric, Lv. 80)
Nora (Seismitoad, Water/Ground, Lv. 80)
I stepped into the area, and then went through the left doorway and up the stairs to battle Shauntal once more. I sent Zach out against her Cofagrigus, and he used Hone Claws to increase his attack and accuracy, before he got hit by Will-O-Wisp to receive a burn. Zach attacked with Night Slash after that for massive damage, before it countered with Energy Ball for great damage, and more damage came from Zach's burn. Another Night Slash from Zach did massive damage, but Confagrigus clung on to use Energy Ball, and with the burn Zach clung on with only 2 HP.
I sent Arthur out, and Shauntal used a Full Restore on Cofagrigus, then Arthur attacked with Seed Bomb for great damage before it countered with Energy Ball for great damage. Arthur used Leech Seed before he got hit by Will-O-Wisp for a burn, but the Leech Seed recovery cancelled out damage from the burn. Arthur and the Cofagrigus traded blows again, then Arthur finally knocked it out with another Seed Bomb.
Frosslass was sent out next, and I sent Cole out against it. Frosslass used Psychic for great damage, and Cole's special defense was lowered, before he countered with Flamethrower to knock it out instantly! Jellicent was sent out after that, and I sent Mason out against it, and it was knocked out instantly by a Wild Charge.
I sent Nora out against Golurk, and she used Hydro Pump for massive damage that took Golurk out instantly just like the previous two. Drifblim was sent out after that, and Mason went out to fight once more, and a Wild Charge knocked it out. Chandelure was the last Pokemon Shauntal had, and I sent Nora out against it. Nora hit it with Hydro Pump for massive damage, and it went down hard.
I left Shauntal's lair, rather disappointed at Zach's efforts once more. I remembered how useless he seemed to be before, and still being so properly leveled he couldn't even two-shot the opponent Pokemon like the others could.
I healed up my team, then put Cole at the head of the team before I moved to the next doorway and to fight Grimsley. Grimsley sent out Sharpedo, and I sent out Cole against it, and Sharpedo attacked with Waterfall for massive damage, before Cole countered with Brick Break to knock it out instantly.
Krookodile was sent out next, and I kept Cole in the fight even as Intimidate cut his attack. I gave Cole a Hyper Potion to heal him up, and Krookodile used Outrage for great damage. Cole attacked with Brick Break for massive damage, and Krookodile clung on and attacked with Outrage again for great damage, and it was confused after. Grimsley used Full Restore to heal Krookodile before Cole attacked with Brick Break again, and Cole used Brick Break once more to knock it out.
Cole grew to Level 81, and I sent Madelyn out against Scrafty. Madelyn went high and avoided Scrafty's Head Smash, before she came down and struck with Fly for massive damage to knock it out. I sent out Nora next against Grimsley's Drapion, and her Earthquake did massive damage, before it countered with Crunch for good damage. Nora attacked again with Surf and knocked out Drapion.
Liepard was sent out next, and I sent Arthur out against it. Liepard failed with Sucker Punch, and Arthur used Work Up to increase attack and special attack, then he attacked with Seed Bomb for massive damage and the knock-out.
Grimsley's last Pokemon was Bisharp, and I sent Cole out against it. Cole attacked with Brick Break, and it was powerful enough to knock out Bisharp and win the battle!
I healed my team and saved my progress, then I switched Zach to the head of my team before I continued through the doorway to the next challenge.
I was up against Caitlin, and I sent Zach out against her Musharna. I had Zach use Hone Claws to increase his attack and accuracy before she switched out to Reuniclus. Zach attacked with Night Slash for massive damage and somehow managed to knock out Reuniclus.
Metagross was sent out next, and I sent Cole out against it. Cole used Flamethrower for massive damage, and it was knocked out instantly. I sent Zach out once more against Musharna, and Caitlin switched out to Sigilyph while Zach used Hone Claws once more. Zach attacked with Night Slash for massive damage, and it was knocked out instantly as well.
I was surprised at how powerful Zach was, and I kept him in the fight against Gothitelle, and he attacked with Night Slash once more to knock it out like the others. Bronzong was sent out next, and I sent Cole out against it. Cole used Flamethrower against it, and Bronzong went down hard.
Musharna was the last Pokemon, and I sent Zach out against it. Zach used Hone Claws once more, and Musharna used Hypnosis to put Zach to sleep. Zach stayed asleep, unable to do anything, while Musharna used Reflect to increase it's defense. Zach remained asleep, but immune to attack because of the type matching.
Eventually Zach woke up, and used Night Slash for massive damage, and Musharna could do nothing to stop Zach attacking once more with Night Slash to knock it out and win the battle!
I healed my team, put Madelyn in the lead, and then made my way through the last doorway to battle Marshal, the last of the Elite Four.
I sent Madelyn out against Marshal's Breloom, and it hit Madelyn with Sky Uppercut for great damage, before she took it out with Fly. Sawk was sent out next, and Madelyn hit it with Fly for massive damage, but it clung on with it's Sturdy ability to knock Madelyn out with Stone Edge.
I sent Arthur out against it, and Marshal used a Full Restore to heal it before Arthur struck with Seed Bomb for massive damage. I gave Madelyn a Max Revive, and Sawk used Poison Jab for massive damage against Arthur. Arthur used Seed Bomb once more, and Sawk was knocked out.
I sent Madelyn out once more against Mienshao when it was sent out, and it used Fake Out for minor damage and to cause Madelyn to flinch. Madelyn went high and avoided Hi Jump Kick before Madelyn struck it down with Fly.
I kept Madelyn in the fight against Conkeldurr, and I kept Madelyn on the offensive with Fly again, avoiding Stone Edge before doing massive damage. Conkeldurr countered with Stone Edge for massive damage, but Madelyn clung on and knocked it out with Aerial Ace.
Throh was sent out next, and I sent Mason out against it. Mason used Thunderbolt for great damage, and it caused Throh paralysis that stopped him from attacking. Mason used Wild Charge next for massive damage, and it clung on but was stopped from attacking by paralysis again. Mason knocked Throh out with Stomp, and Marshal was down to his last Pokemon.
Marshal sent out Toxicroak, and I sent Nora out against it. Nora used Earthquake for massive damage, and Toxicroak was knocked out and the battle was over.
Finally I was through the Elite Four, and all I had left was the Champion, Alder. I healed my team, saved my progress once more, and then I stepped into the light surrounding the central statue to go face-to-face against Alder.
I went up the many stairs and into the temple to face Alder. He thanked me for what I did about N, and Alder told me that while he doesn't know what N's thinking, he's sure that N realizes now that different people and Pokemon have their own paths to follow.
It was at this point that I started my battle against Alder. I sent Madelyn out against Accelgor, and it used Focus Blast for massive damage, before Madelyn countered with Aerial Ace to knock it out.
Alder sent out Vanilluxe next, and I sent Cole out against it. Cole attacked with Flamethrower for massive damage, and Vanilluxe was knocked out instantly. Bouffalant was sent out next, and I kept Cole in the fight. Cole hit Bouffalant with Brick Break for massive damage, but it clung on in the red to counter with Earthquake for massive damage. Alder used Full Restore to heal Bouffalant, then Cole hit it with Brick Break for massive damage, and once more to knock it out.
Cole grew to Level 82, and I kept Cole in the fight against Escavalier. Cole was able to strike first with Flamethrower, and Escavalier was put down instantly from the powerful attack. Volcarona was sent out next, and I sent Madelyn out against it. Madelyn went high, and avoided Overheat, then she struck with Fly for massive damage that knocked out Volcarona.
Madelyn grew to Level 81, and Alder was down to his last Pokemon. I decided to send Nora out against Alder's last Pokemon, Druddigon, and she missed with Hydro Pump before she took great damage from Superpower. Nora attacked again, and Hydro Pump hit for massive damage, before Druddigon countered with Outrage to knock Nora out.
I sent Mason out next, and he attacked with Thunderbolt for good damage, before Druddigon countered with Outrage for massive damage, and then it became confused. Mason attacked with Thunderbolt again, and it knocked Druddigon out to win the battle, and the Championship!
Alder congratulated me on my victory, and led me to a warp tile to reach the Hall of Fame. I placed my Pokeballs on the Hall of Fame computer to register my team and claim Championship over the Unova League!
I'm nearly done with my journey through Unova, and I can't wait to continue through to the next League! I just hope to be done soon here in Unova so I can continue on that much sooner.
Current Team:
Madelyn (Unfezant, Normal/Flying, Lv. 81)
Cole (Emboar, Fire/Fighting, Lv. 82)
Arthur (Simisage, Grass, Lv. 80)
Zach (Liepard, Dark, Lv. 80)
Mason (Zebstrika, Electric, Lv. 80)
Nora (Seismitoad, Water/Ground, Lv. 80)
